I'd be very happy with Giroud coming in - IMO highly underrated and with great scoring stats. Big, strong guy with better skills and ability than he's given credit for. Plus, he seems to be content to being the 2nd striker.

Annoyed that we missed out on Piatek but it is what it is. Wouldn't be surprised if a name comes out of nowhere in friday and becomes a Spurs player on the same day.
I read somewhere that Bergwijn has played as a false 9 before. It would be very un-Mourinho to play with a false 9, but it can happen.

Agree - this will only be an issue if another striker doesn't come in. Outside of Haaland, who is on the train to Madrid or Barca via Salzburg and Dortmund, the striker options this window have been slim pickings.
It really seems like the club is unwilling to commit to any backup striker long term based on who is available. If there was a Bergwjin type player (22/23 years old, promising/good upside, encouraging underlying numbers) at striker, I think it would be different as it would be a nice option between Kane (26) and Parrott (18). But I imagine we would have heard something like that by now.
