The lack of DM links. Could it be that Mourinho doesn't want DMs? On the other hand, why has he played Dier so much?
JM spoke of no DMs in some games.
He has not played Dier so much for entire games but for the last minutes in some games.
I personally am happy with Dier and hopefully Gedson and maybe even Tanganga?

I’m told NUFC deal for Danny Rose is almost certain to be an obligation to buy in the summer. Thus, he becomes an NUFC player. That would probably mean the end of Jetro Willems at the club, which is a shame given injury has forced this situation.
Great news if true.
Suppose a larger permanent fee if Newcastle stay up?

So we'll just carry on playing the HIGHLY prolific, and not at all inconsistent Lucas Moura up-front?

It's widely reported that we have an agreement in place for William Jose but that we are waiting for something else to sort itself out - Bale?

Jose at 30m would be pretty risk free, he's 28 so probably hold his value for at least 18 months whilst we develop Parrott.

It might just be a case of doing both.

Supplementing an excellent scouting network with the ability, on occasion, to spend close to £100 million on the right player.
Absolutely doing both

the impressive action with pool was the identification through a set of criteria and the execution of securing those targets by whatever financial means .... whether it meant 10m to secure the signature or 75m

Bale is on 600k a week, lets forget about him, he's going to take every penny of his contract and I don't blame him. Shame he won't bankrupt Madrid in the process.

Doesn't fill me with confidence that he is seemingly second choice to Piatek, and even he looked iffy enough to warrant us refusing to buy him outright.
I don't know if he is second choice to Piatek or they were just making better progress with Piatek for a while. It's hard to infer much from negotiations because there's alot of shifting dynamics.

Giroud, however, probably was a bail out option because of the baggage and difficulties of the seller.
