Not sure what that demonstrates..... that’s fuck all .... the odd long week out every couple years or so

blokes a well oiled machine

what point was you making ?
Thought it was obvious ... but OK small words

In his early career Ronaldo suffered from repeated muscle and tendon issues, as he learnt his limits so those problems ceased and he became as you in a girly crush kind of way put it, a 'well oiled machine'

I don’t disagree with any of this. It’s very disappointing. But I don’t think it’s fair to blame Levy and only Levy. The January window is difficult to operate in. And panic buys in this window rarely work out. Chelsea and United are our main competition for 4th and as of now both have also failed to bring in a striker when they’re in need. It’s not as easy as it seems.

Now, if you want to blame Levy for mismanaging previous windows, whether its buying or selling, which ultimately put us in the position....that’s completely fair.
And that means ? Nothing.
it means that flight time to London is 2Hr30 Minutes and he will be at the Tottenham training ground before 8pm having his medical and signing the papers at 22:48pm.

:levylol:

Something is only obvious if it’s proves the point

look at the days out ... theyre fuck all for these muscle injuries you mention

if Harry had anything like that record of days out we’d be delighted

terrible example Im afraid mate

looking at it closer that looks like half a season out over 6. Roughly

Harry’s had a half season out this
Quarter season out last and quarter season out prior with the 2 ankle and this hamstring (I believe)

Have seen it said quite a few times in this thread - we don't sign good strikers.
I kind of disagree - yes there have been duds but no more than any other position really..
How I see it;

Hit:
Llorente
Dempsey
Adebayor
Crouch
Pavlyuchenko
Keane
Defoe
Bent
Berbatov
Mido
Kanoute
Sheringham

Miss:
Janssen
Soldado
Saha
Campbell
Rasiak
Postiga

I think these are the strikers we have signed under Levy.
12 hits against 6 miss I make it.
Bent and midi aint what I would call hits

Well besides it being the logical conclusion there is also some evidence supporting it.

Do you think the Evening standard just guessed those 4 random targets on the 31st of May 2019 without a little inside info?

Evening Standard, 31st May: 'Tottenham's summer transfer targets are Ryan Sessegnon, Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso and Jack Clarke'
RS and Ndombele was linked with us the previous season, we apparently made a bid for GLC on the 28th of May.
Giovani Lo Celso: Tottenham make a £53m bid for Real Betis midfielder
The Sun linked us with him on the 6th of May. I think Clark was a Levy punt. But all this doesn't mean that Poch didn't want a striker. More likely there wasn't funds available for one.

I want to clarify where we stand right now.

We went into this transfer window most of all needing a defender and a striker and so far we've got a winger, a midfielder on loan and made another midfielder we loaned a permanent signing.

Or is there another signing that I momentarily forgot?

Clarke was a levy punt? As in he scouted him himself and just bought him without any Poch input?

No funds available but the funds became available for Bergwijn?

I'm good thanks mate. Found out I'm severely lacking in Vitamin D so that's a bummer but other than that I'm sweet. Except for Danny obviously and the fact we're not buying a fucking striker. How are you? Plans for the weekend?

Vitamin D? DR? That not one and the same then? :ap:

All good here fella..... Music seminar thingy tomorrow and a roast with an old flame on Sunday (no sniggering at the back!)....

Reiterating what I’ve been saying. Not buying a player for a full year is what put us in this situation. Criticizing that is completely fair. It put us in a very awkward situation with multiple players and made it difficult to buy or sell. So bash that year all you want. I’m right there with you. But bitching and moaning like not signing a mediocre at best striker this window is a bit over the top. It’s disappointing but it’s certainly not something I see keeping us from competing for the top four. Chelsea and United both had starting strikers go down and have both failed to find a replacement. Panic buys are very rarely a good idea and I’m glad we are being a little cautious and not short sighted.

Call me an apologist. I don’t care. I’m happy. We have more young promising talent on the team than we’ve maybe ever had. We have a serial winner as manager. Be happy for once.

As in he was scouted by our scouts, in view to selling him for a profit later on. Poch just agreed with it, knowing it wouldn't affect his purchases.

CE left which gave us space and funds for Bergwijn, but clearly JM still wanted a striker, we're scratching around for Giroud at the end of the window. That doesn't indicate there are funds available to buy a decent striker.
