If this was to happen, would he be a sissoko replacement? I remember him playing well against us but still not sure what kind of midfielder he is.

Agree he brutalised us, one of the best performances I have seen against us individually over the past 2-3 years. Sissoko in energy level but a different level ability wise. My favourite RB Lepzig player and one of my favourite players in the German league. Him and PEH would bully other teams.

Sort of reminds me of a PEH Dele lovechild, got the PEH game but also comes alive in the final third. Bit like Ndombele he has so much talent you wonder why Bayern or Real Madrid haven’t got him. Like Ndombele I am not counting on this going through.

If that meant a January deal it would be a huge shot on the arm.

Gotta be talking big bucks tho, no?

Supposedly Sabitzer would be 30M euros, which I think would be a great deal for a player that can cover literally every position, in particular the 3rd CM role next to PEH and Ndombele/GLC, and RW - https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Emi50hXXMAEUlTZ?format=jpg&name=large

I haven't seen much of him but everything I've read says he's very much a Mourinho player with superb mentality and workrate (enough that I'd be curious if we could do the PEH - Ndombele - GLC midfield with him at RW, though he hasn't played there for a while). At 26/27 he's not the youngest, but he'd most likely be replacing much older players in Sissoko, Moura/Lamela, Bale (assuming he's only here this season). Makes absolute sense as a squad-building step imo

He is the nuts and your right a real Mourinho never working type player. Having Sabitzer, Ndombele, PEH and Lo Celso is some midfield.

This is thing, it's a fucking myth, he's just a fucking unit, time after time he's caught stood around watching or ambling instead of actually running to close people down. I've posted numerous examples of his lazy fucking trundling.

Lamela's not lazy but he's so fucking clumsy and erratic, he can't tackle anyone without fouling them, and he bumbles about taking 5 touches too many on the ball, and might as well be hopping around on one leg for all the good his right is.
Lamela > sissoko

I get your point but Lucas and Lamela are both 28.

We are going to have serious problems with signing a CB in January, as the world knows Liverpool needs one (or 2) and it will bump up prices and make all negotiations much harder. They are already linked with both Kabak and Skriniar. Sabitzer would be awesome though.

Trust in the Jose pull and Liverpool being an absolute shithole.

Klopp for all his teeth and media fawning, isn't as charismatic for players in regards to bringing them in.

Attributes, and potential wise, he's a whole package of a CB. Strong and quick (for a CB) physically and aerially. Technical very good. Comfortable with the ball, and has good range of passing.

Just Totti Totti pointed out, he had been good since his break through until the lockdown. Now his game is error prone and seems as if he's having concentration issue.

If we can move on Sanchez and he's available for cheap, then it may be worth the gamble. Getting him for high fee and hope he is to reinforce our defense as is, then it's too risky.
