Transfers January 2022 - Transfer Window

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

So we are looking at starting the rest of the season with either Doherty. Emerson or Tanganga on the right.
Unbelievably we have had a month and millions of pounds to prevent this happening but here we are.
That my friends is a fucking joke.

People falling into the trap again. Make no mistake Conte has been good but he has already sounded out the desperation to strengthen. Why? Because although the results have improved its been via a few easy games up until we came across Chelsea and got spanked 3 times in a row. Eventually the wheels will fall off somewhat and thats where the strengthening was supposed to maintain this run of form.

Reading the comments, I feel I have stumbled into a jonestown cult, where Levy is God and Airfixx Airfixx is the messenger. Pure stockholm syndrome. We’ve been so deprived that the only thing you need to do is sign somebody, literally anybody, give him a little “COYS interview” to satisfy the fans until a few weeks later when the glaring problems resume on the pitch.

Loaned out half our squad. Brought in 2 Juventus bench warmers. And the vibe is that this is a great window because “no one buys in January”

Honestly, we deserve 1 trophy in 20+ Years.
As someone just posted, the top 10 EPL sides bought a total of 4 first team players. We bought 2.

You honestly complain about everything, so hard to actually take you seriously.

Okay fair; but I still am disappointed that after this window both united and Woolwich have superior squads than us.
In what universe do Woolwich have a better squad than us?

It's a January window, a lot of incomings/outgoings was never going to be likely. The key is did we do enough, in the context of our rivals, to give us a good chance at top 4.

I think we did.

Get top 4 and leave the big stuff for the summer.

Still no second striker still no creative midfielder still no decent right wing back. Hopefully these signings help enough to get us through this season and top 4 and we address the glaring issues within this squad that haven't really been addressed in the summer. Think letting lamela go last year was a big mistake.

He was loaned out for game time. The only confusing thing is why they chose la Liga when they know he's had success there before but that may have been the only option. I think England might have helped him more.

It is not confusing why he was loaned out. Getting 5 minutes every other game is not helpful. He needs 60+ per game.

They didnt choose La Liga, he must have because he wanted to go back to Spain. Despite his denials, that Spanish article claiming he was unsettled in England and homesick must have had more than a grain of truth in it.

He should have stayed here even if it meant he trained with the squad and was mostly on the bench picking up minutes here and there. Working with Conte, training with the rest of the squad, acclimatising to the UK, all would have proved more worthwhile long term than going back to Spain barely 6 months after arriving here.

Dembele joins Bournemouth

Sky

Siriki Dembele has completed a permanent switch to AFC Bournemouth from Peterborough.
Dembele has penned a three-and-a-half year contract at Dean Court after completing the formalities ahead of the transfer window closing.

Judging from his Twitter post saying see you soon and good luck to spurs, he intends to be back.

Why would he be on the bench?

Gollini
Doherty
Tanganga
Sanchez
Sessengon
Rodon
PEH
Winks

Lucas
Bergjwin

Would all be ahead of him for the 7 bench spots assuming the new boys get in the first XI. More shite from Dan KP.
Apart from Højbjerg and Winks there are no other CM in the squad. And, as happens during a season, some players may get injured (plus now we have covid cases too to deal with). Besides, he can still be loaned out after the window (just not to an EPL club).
Just saying
