All these Vlahovic links are stupid.

While of course we need another striker, it should be down our priorities list.

Our beyond woeful midfield should be addressed first and foremost.

Are we back on the troare shit again! Will we never learn? Pool got jota for less than what wolves wanted for troare! How many goals has he scored compared jota? We buy some crap like sissoko instead of the cheaper Gini W. It’s how you spend the money. In recent years we could have Jack G for £20-25M plus tielamans for a lot less than what we have actually paid.

I wouldn't mind trying Kane at 10 with Vlahovic as 9.
Wouldn't work with Contes formation.

Kane will be the 9 with essentially two 10s/wide forwards behind him, a role which I really don't think would suit Kane, he's not mobile enough.

Son will be one of them and while Lucas has done alright as the other, I think he is the position we need to upgrade on.

Lautaro Martinez of Inter would be a much better option than Vlahovic if we are going to spend big on a forward, IMO.

He’s played 352 plenty of times

Vlahovic links are stupid but because he is one of the very hottest properties in European football market.

But getting a functional striker is 2nd biggest priority after creative/passing CM.

Striker position is massive, gaping hole in our side. There is no chance we will get into top 4 or bag any trophy if we count on a striker that is able to score 3 goals per season looking at current going rate. Kane of 2021/22 is not among top 15 strikers in the league and we do not have any alternatives in this position. Our attacking play is poor and it is reflected in the table - 14 games, 16 goals. Goal per game and it includes 5 from past 2 games. This is massive problem.

We all know Kane has quality and he can be absolutely world class - he was by far best player in the league last season, but we ain't gonna get points with memories. If we could we should be starting Alli in every game as well. Output levels (for now) are not what they should be and it should be addressed.

Of course I hope Kane will turn it around as soon as possible and we can see that brilliant striker again. But based on first half of the season we should not put all our eggs into that basket.

Sports Witness has picked up some rumours out of Italy of us courting Insigne at Napoli. He is in the last 6 months of his contract and seems to be looking at finally exploring football outside of Napels.

He is 30 years old, but one or two shrewd veteran signings could help bolster a relatively young squad.

He mainly plays on the left but he can also play as a striker or behind the striker.

For as long as Fabio Paratici has been in charge of transfer at Tottenham, Dusan Vlahovic has been linked with a move to London.

This came amid rumours that Harry Kane could make the switch to Manchester City, but the England international never got his transfer to the Etihad, leaving him to have to stay in London under Nuno Espírito Santo.

Antonio Conte has replaced the Portuguese since then, but with Pep Guardiola still without a proper starting striker, the interest could rear its ugly head next summer once again.

Vlahovic would likely be top of the list of replacements, but it appears, at least according to Gazzetta dello Sport on Sunday, that alternatives are being looked at.

The newspaper explain that Gianluca Scamacca, currently at Sassuolo, is ‘popular’ in England, where a couple of ‘major clubs follow him closely’.

That’s when it’s revealed that ‘one is Tottenham, especially if they part ways with Kane in June’.

However, it is pointed out that things are changing under Conte, but will that be enough to make him stay for the foreseeable future?

If it isn’t, Paratici appears ready with a list, and the 22-year-old, who has scored five goals in 17 games so far this season appears to be on it.

Paratici is going to jail - we need to be planning for a future without him
