Sell Kane for £100M (rising to £140M with silly clauses if he's super successful will trigger).

Jan 1st? Get Toney, and Sarr (Watford), plus another dynamic player like them for CM (or bring forward Sarr from France).

Why would Brentford & Watford sell their star players in January?

They not keen on their EPL-status or sumthin?

Did say I'd be happy selling H and wait, or sign a Schick or someone in the £25M range who might pop or wilt, until summer then go after those types, young hungry, fast, prem/Championship exposure.

He's 5'10 (Toney)but plays 6'1 better than Kane in build up 1on1's by miles on early viewing.

Pretty sure you didn't say all that.... Look:

Posted in a couple of threads, Other matches thread, sorry.

But yes, just saying if the money is right and Kane's shitty, sell. There's burgeoning talent coming through all over the place it appears that if we need wait until summer to get, we can get a U23/25 £25M punt to cover from Europe (again a well scouted Toney type, or Sarr type).

Surely there is a semi decent back up goal scorer for us floating around in the Championship that wouldn't cost huge no's. Still can't believe that a club the size of Spurs didn't recently pick up someone like that considering the schedule and Covid obstacles etc.

What physique are you referring to? As Makelele and Kante stand out as the best, Roy Keane and Vieira were the days when borderline assault early doors was often just a stern warning, relative to now anyway.

Point being, the dynamics have changed dramatically, teams find spaces around each other much more frequently so there are much less leg to leg. or upper body strength needed, moments.

For me, agility, speed of body and mind, vision. If the player has that, not much concerned if 5'8 or 6'2, would rather 6ft and Bellingham like (slender yet very strong core), as that allows around peak running over 2x47m, but point is every Kg of muscle (which may win 1 or 2 body to body challenges) has to be carried around the pitch, so I want lean fuckers who more often don't need to get into that challenges as they ran the opposition off the ball, again and again. Still want a pitbull spirited f*cker as well though, don't get me wrong here!

Anyway, agree he's more an attacking/higher risk looking player, as it stands. Slight concern his momentum of play appears a little languid, but excited to see him develop here.
Carrick and Busquets both lean…. We need a skilful passer with 360 vision as opposed to a powerful box to box dynamo

Latest I heard was a swap for Ndombele.
Similar characters- don't want.
Do not want.

At least NDombele looks like he's a fun guy to have around. Martial looks like someone stole his breakfast.

And I don't think we need another inconsistent attacker who still doesn't have a best position. We can still use NDombele here and there since our midfield options is limited. Good forbid moving NDombele to have Winks back as regular match day member.

Look at Toney, this guy was kicking around at League One two years ago, now he's worth 30M+, there has to be more people like that.

What makes it worse is that we have recent evidence of how shite it is starting a season with only one striker in the squad. You end up having to play Dele Alli as a false 9. Yet the brains trust at the club (and some fans) think it’s perfectly fine to only have Kane. It’s utterly utterly bizarre and quite frankly moronic. Almost self sabotage.

We need both, although I’d love a technical classy midfield passer in there. But our best midfields in recent times have been when we’ve had a physical presence in there palacios/Sandro/dembele/wanyama.
We need a passer first and foremost otherwise what’s the point in Skipp and PEH? Surely they are the physical presence? I’ve been critical of PEH, but he would look x2 the player next to a classy baller like Jorginho or even Fabiano/Rhodri

It’s a question that’s part of the problem! 😂

As I said, we definitely need a passer. Someone good receiving the ball under pressure who can pass long and short with finesse. I’ve been saying it for years yet we don’t seem to target that type of midfielder. You’d think Nuno would want one too what with having both Neves and Mourinho in his Wolves team. Hell, I’d even settle for a Tom Huddlestone in there next to Skipp!
