Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

10 games into the season seems like an awfully short period of time to ignore 200+ games that show something completely different, especially when way back to last season Kane led the league in goals and assists while being easily the best attacking player in the league, if not world.
Didn't know the convo had evolved to CBs from years past when those 200+ goals were scored. The CBs this season are in recliners my man. Sports is what have you done for me lately. And lately Harry is better than Ambien for CBs.

Suck it, Iggy!

I'd swerve The Sundays...

Did not know Super Jan was in a band.

Yes, he did. And if I were a manager I would want as many quality options at my disposal as I could possibly get. I don't think it's damaging to the overall point though.

It might not obliterate the overall point, one which I'm on board with, but it depends on how limited you think Kane is as to how much it damages it.

If you think he's a one dimensional tap-in merchant then it's definitely peppering it with some buckshot.

At this time it would be reasonable to point out that he also offered half of what many thought he was 'worth'. So yeah, cheeky bid.

For the record, by “Cheeky” I was referring to their DOF not the bid. I think the money being offered was still quit a lot of dough - especially for a 28yo planB. (And I would have taken the money).

Klopp likes everyone to press but he's made exceptions for Salah. Don't think that contradicts Klopp's philosophy or general view of the game. He's just adjusted.

Again, it kind of depends on your opinion of Salah, if you think he's a lazy, one dimensional forward, it does kind of compromise the notion that he wants "everyone to press" and has a philosophy but makes an exception for a player who offers fuck all else but goals. If you think there's a bit more to Salah, then less so I guess.

Again, I'm with you on the general gist. Don't like one dimensional tap in merchants. Don't believe the "9" has to be all the goals etc etc. Think Klopp and Pep are smart guys who understand the "9" can be something different, but I also think it helps when your DOF/Recruitment team deliver them a bunch of talented, goal scoring satellites to spin round their false 9's orbit.

Hope he gets a Prem loan. Not much value in selling him ATM and who knows he could flourish elsewhere.
While I agree Joe Rodon would benefit with more game time on a loan, I am worried about our CB options. Unless we sign a CB or two in January, we only have 5 CBs for the 3 at the back system: Dier, Sanchez, Tanganga, Ben Davies, Romero. Tanganga has been unlucky with injuries. Dier, Sanchez and Ben Davies are meh. Most recently, Romero injured during international duty...

I don't think my assessment of Kane matters a jot. And even if Kane was believed, by me, to be solely a tapin merchant, totally devoid of any other qualities he would still have great utility for Pep. The thing City sorely lack is someone to tap them in. If he's more than that then he will play in other situations. But he's going to have to show he's more than that just like Aguero did in order to get off the bench.

Another thing is that the use of Klopp and Pep were supportive of my point and not about their deviations from their protocols being integral to my point. So whatever they do counter to their typical is merely exception proving the rule. We have no idea who these coaches would choose absent typical constraints. Salah was laid on Klopp's plate and he's admitted he didn't even want him. Now he's making due because it's what he's got and it's quite productive. And I judge them on their words about their desired football not what real-life football has forced them to accommodate.

If you think he's a one dimensional tap-in merchant then it's definitely peppering it with some buckshot.
You'd ahve ot flesh this out for me. As I see it, you are using an exception to a 'rule' to argue against something. And I don't think that's even worthy of critter shot.

Agreed.

Klopp and Pep were merely supportive evidence. I make not claims as to why either has let real world circumstances dictate that they accept reality of their team makeup. And I do think Salah is overrated and mostly an off-the-ass,elbow, shin, etc. diving scumbag with little else to his game and I don't think it affects my point of strikers being overrated/valued etc...mostly because it's not germane to the point. In fact, it's supportive that Klopp get's his goal from OTHER than the striker. And that's why the example was used. Not whether or not he makes exceptions to the pressing protocol...this is tangential.

Replacing “the best striker on the planet” with not the best striker on the planet gets you excited?

Don't recall mentioning 'replacing'. Another pathetic attempt by the anti-Kane to put words in peoples mouths.

Nice try SamanthaBigTits but we see through you and your fiendish ways. Fancy leaving your basement today?

:dude::dude::dude::dude::dude::dude:

P.S Go away and stay in the Kane thread where you belong. I will not accept you befouling any other threads with your presence.
