I want us to sign good players, couldn’t care less if they are free. I’m actually not sure Levy prefers free transfers - he’s loathe to increase the wage bill where-as he doesn’t mind a creative transfer fee (frees mean higher wages)

With both Gollini and Pickford, they aren’t as good as Hugo, and the last thing we can afford is to downgrade at basically any position on the field.
It would be stark raving madness to let Hugo go. The handful of upgrades over him would cost loads that would be much better allocated elsewhere
