Chelsea troll calling Spurs fans who want our club to do well self entitled ….
We will see.Well according to the ENIC’s PR piece on hereAirfixx we tried to sign Pau Torres for 60m (hahahhahaha) but he said no so Levycunt has done the best he can. Now it’s down to Conte making his boys Winksy and Dire better players because we suffer from CoViD PoVeRtY
If we start next season with players like Dier, Davies, Winks, Bergwijn and PEH we might as well close shopWe will see.
Conte walked out of the summer talks because he knew how much we needed to do here and Levy disagreed of course.
The November talks and season prior MUST have made Levy see Conte was right.
Unlike others, I think we’ll see a marquee striker in January and possibly a CM
One things for sure, by the start of next season, the old guard won’t be here and I believe that will include Lloris
My door is still open to Hojberg and Bergwijn, at least as squad options, but that all depends on what they offer this season. If we start next season with players like Dier, Davies, Winks, Bergwijn and PEH we might as well close shop
What term is commonly used in your hockey dressing room, Tarquin (for a limited skill less player?)"Footballing rapist" is a different phrase.
The fomer is an unpleasant simily...... The latter is just crass, neanderthal gob-shite bollocks. Typical of the taste-less trash you regularly spew.
LOL.... More articulate gems from the silver tongued wonder.
LOL.... Yeh, right.
True but not quite the whole picture ...We will see.

I despise Levy but you don’t know that he walked away due to lack of funds. I think it’s more likely that Conte was burnt out and fatigued due to the recent stress at Inter and just wanted some time to recoverTrue but not quite the whole picture ...
Conte walked out of the summer talks because Levy would not guarantee transfer funds, in the middle of a pandemic, with stadiums still closed, you can understand why ...
However, as soon as it became clear that the 'money train ' stadium was back in business, Levy went back to Conte and said "OK you can have the funds you want, please sign".
Only time, and a couple of transfer windows, will confirm that, but it's what nearly everyone at the club believes.
I don't know, it's just club office gossip ... as you say probably a bit of both.I despise Levy but you don’t know that he walked away due to lack of funds. I think it’s more likely that Conte was burnt out and fatigued due to the recent stress at Inter and just wanted some time to recover
Probably a bit of both I guess (wanted a break and guaranteed funds)
Agree and it’s absolutely the best time to invest for a few other reasons:I don't know, it's just club office gossip ... as you say probably a bit of both.
What does seem certain is that some 200m (the max we could spend under FPP rules) could be made available in 2022. Not saying it will, more likely some sales will need to happen as well, it's not so much the transfer fees that are the issue, it's the wages that cause the FPP problems.
If Levy is prepared to gamble, not his strength, that our income will rebound to >500m this year, then spending 200m and adding 500k a week to salaries is certainly financially possible, we will see.
FYI - If Todd Kline can pull in deals, especially a naming rights deal, then all bets are off. 200m could easily become 400m .... wouldn't that be something.
Not doubting the reasons why, just that the money wasn’t thereTrue but not quite the whole picture ...

I don't know why exactly, but I was under the impression that Italians were synonymous with good suits, Del Piero and Di Marzio have obliterated that notion of mine in the space of 24 hours...And the winner of the coveted Jamie Redknapp Worst Suit of the Year 2021 award is...

As for you laughing out loud out loud out loud at Airfixx's claim that we were willing to pay €60 million for the lad in the summer, we were. Villarreal and Pau Torres confirmed it.
There's no mystery at all to the sum, it's his cláusula de rescisión, his buy-out clause.

"(Villarreal) told me that there was interest from another club - Tottenham - but I was clear what I wanted. I calmly decided that we had a great season in front of us, with really interesting goals and challenges, so I was really clear from the start, I didn't need any time to make my decision"
The figure of €60 million isn't mentioned, but as I mentioned before, it didn't have to be. Villarreal were transparently clear from the offset that they would only sell if the buy out clause was met (in such a case, they have no say at all in the matter, it's purely down to the player). They said this in spring, when Madrid were expressing an interest and they repeated it in the summer, when we were the suitors (Madrid having moved their gaze on to Kounte at Sevilla).
Pau Torres explica por qué rechazó la oferta del Tottenham
AS reports there was an agreement in principle.Translation:
We made a joke offer which club and player predictably dismissed and told Levycunt to fuck off
You simply don't understand how cláusulas work, you're making a fool of yourself.Translation:

We don't have to match the buy-out clause to have an initial conversation with the club/playerYou simply don't understand how cláusulas work, you're making a fool of yourself.
If we had made "a joke offer" it would have been Villarreal who turned us down and told Levy to fuck off, not Torres, it wouldn't have been anything at all to do with him.
As it was we were offering the buy-out clause, as the club had made clear that was all they were interested in. As soon as we did, VCdF were legally obliged to notify the player and from then on, they had NO SAY WHATSOEVER in the matter. They did so and the ball was then in the player's court. In his alone.
