Transfers January 2022 - Transfer Window

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He is very good. He mainly operates on the left which could be an issue for Son. But Conte has talked about playing Son as the "10" (aka he wants him behind Kane to make runs off of him) so he could probably work around it.

And Insigne can play in other positions as well.

We love collecting left sided players of course.

He’s a tricky player and more creative than what we have. Plus he’s proven (albeit in Italy) and surely wouldn’t cost a fortune. We’ve been linked since the summer and could be a clever move. We need more players creating chances and space for Kane. He can do that. I’d be keen.

He is on a expiring contract and only 30 so it is worth a gamble. Give him a 2-3 year contract and if it doesn't work out there is bound to be a Italian club interested.

How long has he got on his contract?
They won't turn down a good offer if they could lose him for nothing in the near future.
Expires in June 2024. And as Patrik says (and I mentioned a few days back with regard to Isak), La Real stick closely to their buy out clauses. They are financially pretty sound and don't have a lot of depth in their squad so their priority is to keep players. They are always in danger of losing Basque players (like Oyarzabal) to Bilbao, with their "Basques only" policy, tho with RS being the better team in recent seasons this isn't as true as previously.

All in all - age, contract, importance to his (local) team, regular Spanish international, it'll take something very close to the £67 million I mentioned was his clause

Holjberg for £10/12m was money well spent, it’s the £100m on Ndombele and lo Celso that was wasted

Hojbjerg was 15m plus KWP.

KWP is better than Doherty who we then had to pay 15m for. TM currently have KWP valued at 16m. They state his value in the transfer was 11m. Either way that puts the cost of getting Hojbjerg at 26-30m in actual cost. Not 10-12.

His value has absolutely fuck all to do with Ndombele or LoCelso. Whatever we think of them.

Still plays almost every minute of every match. May not be spectacular, but he's extremely reliable. In this day an age, £25m for reliability is fair money IMO.

No he wasn't....

PEH = 15-ish
KWP = 12m-ish.

Nah, you got this wrong Blakey.

Even TM states it as PEH = 14.9m / KWP = 11m.

We essentially paid a 3m top-up.

Smart spending is a given - look at Conte’s signings at Inter. Spent a lot, spent smartly won the league and all players increased in market value.

If he wants Vlahovic for £65M, pay it. If he wants an unknown Bosnian U21 striker for £0.3M, pay it

I’m assuming that now we have two established professionals in charge, the days of Hitchen and Levy bungling their way through a transfer window and wasting millions are long gone
I dont know about Paritici being that professional though. No one seeing the need to buy a 2nd striker still points to incompetence really.

Onana to Inter Confirmed according to Fab Romano.

I know a few on here wanted him.

Personally I'd happily give Hugo another 2/3 years and get in Same Johnstone as a back up. can't have a sub keeper take up one of our non home grown slots.
