We are no different to any of them and we are doing nothing differently.
You're all just acting like spoilt brats whinging because we didn't get shiny new toys on day 1. It doesn't happen anywhere so it won't happen here. You're just going to have to deal with it.
Where did i say we should have bought someone by now? I dont expect anything from us for at least another couple of weeks. My point was we are different because we have appointed a short term, volatile manager who's time here will be defined by this window and the summer so we can hardly be shrugging our shoulders and writing one of those 2 windows off.

Sun linking us with Lamptey. Now we are talking. If ever there was an obvious signing, it’s him.

50 million is nuts for a player with his injury record IMO

Don't get me wrong, I love the player, been saying it for years now, but his injury record is scary. We've seen what's happened with Sess when a player that young starts getting serious muscular injuries.

It'd still be a huge risk at 20-30 million. 50 is a non-starter.

My post , which didn't quote you or anyone else for that, quite clearly stated, we are on day 6 and have done nothing different to anyone.
You chose to quote me and say that the other teams don't need to but we do.

If you'd said "it's ok not to sign anyone on day 6, but signing no one this window is gross negligence" then you'd have a point. But you didn't.

Our biggest problem however is not levy but more our scouting. Because we actually been spending money in the last 3 seasons but it’s been almost all on dog shite players. Seriously. Ndombele lo Celso sessegnon bergwijn Doherty at the very least are colossal wastes of money. And Emerson also looks very limited so far. Hojberg as been terrible but he was decent last season and was cheap. Reguilon is also average so far. And our loans? Gollini gedson and Vinicius. Three extreme limited players as well.
Levy is responsible as he rarely looks for a finished player that has instant impact .
They are prospects which he hopes will have great sell on , cloggers like the Dane , Docherty
who are bargain buys .
His philosophy is self-destructive.

Royal's recent struggles notwithstanding, I think that position and profile is what's needed above all else.

A striker is of course critical due to Kane's future but we currently have Kane, and the desire for more CB's confuses me, though I understand the whole left-footed thing.
I think it all depends on how good the wing backs are - if they really are able to provide the creative attacking play in the final third then you don’t really need an especially expansive midfield three. Although, that’s part of the reason that the Traore links are worrying. He’s fast, yes, but hardly the sort of intelligent wide player that can help unlock defences.

I’m not disagreeing with you in the slightest - I just don’t think we’re looking for that type of player.

To some degree I can forgive Ndombele and Lo Celso as they clearly are talented, it was difficult to tell Lo Celso would be a crock and Ndombele would give up the moment he got his big fat contract.

What the hell is this lol

1/10 success rate

Son: success
Lucas: success
Lamela: not a failure, very important in big games, would have been a big success if he wasn’t injured half the time
Regulion: £27m for a average left back is probably about right in todays market, £40-50 for a top one.

The rest have underperformed relative to price.

Simplistic view. We’ve been grossly mismanaged for years and completely under invested so you can’t compare us vs peers based on 7 days. We are desperate and should have paid to move deals over the line (offset by the historic frugality)
