Lingard doesn't fit that category. He's also 29, and has a patchy record for United. Yes he's an improvement on Bergwijn, but not a signing that shows ambition.

Whilst that's a very inspirational titbit, it's also absolute bollocks. It amounts to running around trying to sign players out of our league and ending up with fuck all when the "club" shuts.
You can't see any sign of success in that failure. In fact, it's gross negligence to refuse a few 6/10's in favour of no one.
