Transfers January 2022 - Transfer Window

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Sky Sports just put up a graphic of 11 players, a full team, we could sell off.

Gollini
Tanganga Rodon CCV Doherty
GLC Dele TND Clarke
Berg Gil

Shocking, utterly shocking recruitment. And yet people screaming and yelling we have to just buy more.
I don't want another 11 shit players.
Wowsers!
I don't agree with all eleven but put like that.....o_O:confused:
I can hardly believe that we gave GLC a contract after we'd had a good look at him on loan, and Ndombele had a bad reputation as a stroppy cunt.

Poor work THFC.
Clever by the Real Betis chairman. Said the price was £41 mill if we bought by a certain date, but dearer if we waited.
GLC started well for Spurs IMO (as well as a lot of posters here).
I was pleased we went for the buy early, cheaper option.
I'm not gonna get all Keith Starmer over this.

Because he was a desperate last minute 10th choice manager who we had in place while no one better was available and then immediately sacked when the going got a bit tough and Conte could come. Not hard to imagine why the club wouldn't give financial backing to the head coach in that situation, is it?

Don't know why you find this so hard to believe. Poch spoke a LOT about how little input he had in transfers, until he gained a lot of credit with the club and got his way with Ndombele/GLC. Nuno had no such credit in the bank.
I can see you are clairvoyant and a mind reader. Amazing! So you knew that Conte would sign for Spurs… but only after Levy (& Lewis) & Paratici hired and then fire Nuno.
So according to you this is a fact: Spurs hires Nuno with the intention of totally undermining his authority - by f.ex. ignoring any of his input into eventual new players - and hoping he turns out to be a total flop so they can fire him as soon as possible ...in order to hire Conte, who turned down the Spurs job in the first place (because Levy did not seem ambitious enough for his taste); and thus Conte would have no say at all in transfer matter during the transfer window just a few months before he would be hired…and then getting stuck with £80M+ of summer signings that may not fit his system.

Wow! What a conspiracy theory! But it is hard to imagine that your story is true. I’ll be waiting for proof now…or …
This is the first time I read that Levy & Paratici never wanted Nuno to succeed.

Pochettino was upset about the lack of transfer funds when Spurs went through 3 transfer windows without purchasing players. That does not mean that Pochettino was undermined when it came to the choice of players.
And if he was so busy talking about it, then where are the links to all that talking?
That he didn't always get Levy's backing there is no doubt and that Levy should have invested money the following the CL final is clear. But why has this story to do with Nuno?

To be fair, GLC actually looked a good player when we had him on loan - in fact you might go as far as to say he was one of our best players in that period. God knows what happened - did he just have a particularly lucky few months in terms of form, did he stop caring once he was permanent, did the injuries kill him, god only knows what happened. But I don't think it was a poor signing based on the info we had at that time - it just turned out later to be a total disaster. :(
He always seemed to be looking for safe easy pass though, it was only poor shows from Winks and Sissoko that made him look good.

But yes he has got worse over time.

Linked again to Amrabat, disappointing on the face of it but again he is a player Conte was linked with at Inter

Played well in a 343 but injury's are the reason he hasn't started much this year

Their is logic but I thought we would look at better

Surprised we ain't linked with Zakaria

No idea how good that Amrabat guy is but Conte is insisting that he wants him it seems, just gotta trust him I guess 😭

I never rated him, he so often took the easy option, safe pass, I was hoping for goals or at least lots of assists. I know it's not all about stats but his stats were shit even when he was on loan.

Utter fucking joke isn’t it, but who is surprised? We have spent an entire window flirting and chasing Traore, only to not even put a bid in yet and it’s the 25th day of the window. The only midfielder we can muster is a loan deal for some unknown Moroccan stambouli that can’t even fucking get in the Fiorentina 1st team. Utter wank club we are. You carry on letting Chelsea stomp all over us from Every angle whilst you buy utter tripe. Fuck off Levy you bald cunt!!!! Paratici you are no better either you fraud.
