I think one of the best transfers we could do in the next 3 days is tie Spence down to come in the summer. He looks increasingly good.
It goes back to the shambles of a managerial search too doesn't it. Since Paratici has come in it has looked even more of a mess than it did previously (an achievement in itself). He cocked that up and his transfer strategy seems so haphazard and a mess. I suspect he will be out the door when Conte goes at the end of his contract and we'll start all over again.
I might have more respect for those trotting out the excuses that we've all seen countless times if they'd set out their stall prior to the transfer window after Conte joined us.
But no, look back and all you'll see is people saying stuff like "Do you seriously think that Levy won't be backing Conte to the hilt?" and so on.

Really? I just saw post after post of people saying that if Levy doesn't back Conte he's got nowhere to hide, which is correct. He won't. Conte is the last chance saloon for him before it turns publicly nasty for him and Lewis.

I'll nip down the road and watch a few games at Cardiff. Can easily get tickets standing with their hardcore fans, and enjoy an hour and half of abusing the ref and singing cunty songs.
Not sure if its because of having Covid and therefore feeling tired and grumpy anyway, the transfer farce, or both, but I am fucked off to the point where I'm fucking welling up just typing this.

These are the obvious, safe bets. But neither team will do business, why would they?
If they did, the same would very likely happen as with Vlahovic, Diaz, we don't have enough up front cash it very much appears (and players want Pool over us, Juve over us, no shock or outrage given these are two of the top 8-10 super clubs, we just have the framework of a super club, but the trophy room and on field ambition of a mid-lower table team).
I suspect their spreadsheet shows they've spent enough on players and wages to achieve at least Europa League. Problem is those players have been mostly absolute shit since the 2019 window.
