You know, sometimes I get the feeling that Tottenham are under the impression that it's against the rules to scout players or talk to other clubs outside of a recognized transfer window.

We always seem to be starting from square one and left making up excuses.

To be fair, and I'm not sticking up for anyone here, Conte has said he needs numbers this window. I don't think we are trying to sign any of our 'main targets' unless the opportunity arrives. Getting a couple in on loan who can add depth and improve on what we have until the summer is probably what Conte expected.

If we get Kulusevski we should give a chance, still young and who knows he might thrive over here. Same goes with Amrabat although he is not so young. At this point the squad really needs freshening up so new faces are welcome and the trash already here needs shipping out asap.

He's really poor. I follow Serie A quite a bit, I've actually seen him live this season. Doesn't have the cutting edge required for the premier league and I feel he would end up a bit of Lamela signing in terms of not enough end product.

It is a bad idea to replace trash with more trash. The goal is to net reduce trash.

You'd think the words net reduce would excite Levy. But he only cares about reducing cash outflow, not trash inflow.

But he’s not a winger, he’s a ten who staffers out wide nominally much like Eriksen did for us at his best. And Conte plays a 2 10 system when he goes 343… which is looking like he’ll continue with given the lack of improvement at CM this window. You must’ve noticed how he’s been playing Son and Lucas extremely narrow and close to Kane.
