My bigger frustration if honest I'd not seemingly losing out to signings of quality players bit when we go for players who are with other Prem teams.
For me there is something more worrying when we keep missing out on those players who are picked up by so called lesser sides, who then go on to better than what we have.
I just find that incredibly hard to understand and again is more an indictment on our scouting network.
Things need to change on a structural level.

For many, honestly, the transfer window has overtaken the football as the actual product. A lot of people care more about signing names and imagining results off the back of it and "showing ambition" than the actual results transfers produce.
The football just becomes a way to develop/introduce the next set of transfers.
