For me, the only way Spurs, Levy and Paratice save this window and save the Spurs fans from lynching them is pulling off a deal for Dybala. That’s the only player from Juventus In this supposed raid that will bring all the fans back on side. Signing Abracadabra from Fiorentina and this Kulu sub doesn’t cut the mustard whatsoever. You better be pulling something special out the bag Daniel Monday otherwise it will be toxic. Dybala is the only way.
 
Really liked Bentancur three or four years ago, but he's not been great the last while. Think he's a player Conte would like and improve. Not a great passer, can have clumsy footwork and give away the ball when pressed sometimes, great defensive work.

Don't agree at all that it's imperative Gil gets an English loan. Games for a top half La Liga side is great for him. The issue is the money we spent last summer (and those preceding it) and how little it's benefitting our first team.

Yep, we used to sign big names quite a bit. Gazza broke the transfer record at the time, Lineker, Klinsmann, Ardiles, Waddle. Even the likes of Archibald were big, sought after players. I dont mind the next level down from that lot but other teams reserves, loans...its all just bargain basement.

Also why is it ok for us to buy Diaz for 50mill who has never played in uk or any of the other players you’re getting hot under the collar about - but not Gil. Is he not going to benefit from more games in a top league regardless of where it is?

I like your positivity. I try to stay like that as much as possible with our club, although this last week has tried my patience.

For me the summer is the critical test as there are no obstacles in our way for once (Euros, World Cup).

I know its the easy option on here to be knocked down for trying to remain positive but it is far too depressing to me to be anything else. My wife is genuinely getting fucked off with me moping around and its kind of embarrassing to say its because of the transfer window.
