How many times had we finished top 4 and in the champions league before ENIC? What state was the club in when ENIC took charge?


I’m not sticking up for them, they’ve made mistakes. But they have also made us into a giant across Europe and got us to the top table. Levy has his issues, and needs to sort himself out, as does Lewis. But to pretend they have done nothing good for the club is just deluded.

You are sticking up for them. And if they've made us a giant across Europe, as you claim, why should we be happy to accept 2nd 3rd or 4th rate signings as you alluded to in your previous post. You just completely contradicted your own argument.

Everything about this club, it's history, it's fanbase, it's location, it's wealth, it's elite level ticket prices.... suggests we should be attracting better players and winning more trophies

Please tell us who us overtaken us in terms of most successful clubs since 2001.

Then reflect on why that might be.

There's your answer.
They will gazump us to quality footballers 9/10 times. They offer a safer route to trophies, can offer as much salary as we can, and more, and can absorb big money flop signings with more big signings far better than we can.

We are 5th in England for wealth.
An inescapable fact, that ultimately sees us looking for the cast-off's of big clubs in the hopes we can turn them around.

I hate it, absolutely hate that it is what we are as a club but I genuinely don't know what we can do other than get ourselves and oil sugar daddy and try and become another City. YUCK.

Yes. Must tell Juve to fuck right off if they keep insisting on that obligation to buy at 40 mil. It's option to buy and 20 mil max...15 upfront + 5 in bonuses. Take it or leave it. If we miss out, I really wouldn't be distraught.

We tried to go for a RWB, got pipped by Barca late on, and are now floundering in an attempt to get a new one.
