Think the ship has sailed on getting a decent fee for Broja, had they brought him back halfway through the Southampton loan they could have gotten probably £30m for him but they've let him play and everyone see how shite he is now so not likely they will get anything like £20m. Winks was a proven quantity at PL level and former England international and went for £10m, I can't see a universe where someone forks out £20m on a striker who doesn't score.

Goes to show how shortsighted many fans are. They think that these types of things can happen overnight. Yeah, we haven't won a trophy in 15 years, but that's not because we were a lower midtable team that pinched pennies. We have been quite competitive for our size and could have had 2-3 trophies (including the big one) during this time. The reason we didn't is because of what happened on the pitch, not in the boardroom.
Moving forward I think we will operate similarly to how we have until now, which I think is right. The big difference will be that other clubs will not be able to operate the way they have until now. The difference maker will be who has the best recruiting on the managerial and player front, not who can spend the most, because pretty much the top 6 will have parity with regard to spending. So I am really hoping that this new football structure the club has set up is world class and is maintained at a world class level.
