That also assumes our first XI is sorted.

I think the frontline needs work with Son ageing, jury out on Richy and Johnson a bit hit or miss. Lets see how Werner does.

I think a star forward should be the summer aim.

The point of the list wasn't about who is or isn't first XI; it's a squad assessment.

If we (eg) sell Gil in the summer and then sign a winger who pushes one of the starters down the pecking order then all the better.

If we make Werner perm; then he can equate to a Gil replacement; otherwise Gil would be a player that still needs replacement.

I already noted Rich. I highly doubt the other two will move (I wouldn't want them to either).

Front line def still a question for me too. If we need 6 attackers to rotate and provide options:

Son
Johnson
Kulu (is he a 10 now?)
Richy
Solomon

?Werner if we take the option

So, we need to decide on Richy staying/going or being replaced and Werner being permanent or not. Then whether Deki becomes more part of the CM rotation or not.

Personally, I think only one of Richy and Werner is likely to win themselves a spot in the rotation for the future and the other needs to be replaced with a star quality forward.

I think Hojbjerg goes this window.
He is good enough to play for top clubs in Europe but they are all skint and Spurs are not gonna let him go for nishties.
He wants to start and his options are an EPL side or run his contract down and be a bit part player.
I hope and think he will choose the former.

Personally I’m not getting weird because he’s paid a lot of money, I’m getting weird because his career could go down the drain pretty quick if he doesn’t address his problems and attitude.

For me, I would see going to Italy to play for Genoa as a great opportunity to focus and turn things around as opposed to what? What will be his other choices here in England given his attitude???

Those are his choices though and he's not a cunt for wanting to make them himself.

Assuming Dragusin and Werner get over the line I think that’s a very decent window (albeit of course we don’t know how Dragusin will turn out).

When I look at where we are as a first XI and as a squad moving into the summer, we’re really well positioned….

I genuinely think our first XI defence and MF is good enough to have a real crack at the title under this manager, and the squad depth in those areas only needs a few tweaks on the assumption that Dragusin is the player we think he is.

Where we need to focus is in that attacking area. We have plenty of decent options up top but bringing an elite player in, whether that’s a CF or a wide forward who bangs in goals like a Salah allowing Son to play centrally, that could really catapult this team to another level.

I appreciate those players are really hard to find but I feel like this is where the club need to back the manager and back the project. It doesn’t need to be 80m, it could be 30m for the right player, but I’m keen that we don’t just stockpile options that are of the same level as a Kulu, a Johnson or possibly even Werner. We seek to go a step ahead of that and really push this team forward, and if that means breaking our transfer record so be it.

There are squad depth positions I’d like (another CM, a better backup LB, a better reserve GK) but I’d forsake all of that for an elite attacking option that could transform this team to one of the best on the planet.

It’s an exciting place to be. We are on the crux of something extraordinary here. 👍

Won't be £50m that was his Summer value

Chelsea need to sell so I think we can get him in the £30-£40m region, if they don't sell now he'll just be cheaper in the Summer, waiting game I think.

If they will sell their current captain to their biggest rival for 30m then sure it might happen.

But they won't and in reality he's not that great that we will wait for him. That Wharton kid looked better than him anyway in the Carabao Cup.
