Royal doesn't fit his system either. He's neither quicker nor a great passer. Ange made a special point to say that Royal asked to play in any position and showed desire and that impressed him.

And furthermore the manager is a prick too for sticking up for him…. He won’t be laughing after getting the sack for not winning enough games due to Toney taking on shots and not squaring because he backed himself to score first…

I like the idea of sending the youngsters to clubs in pairs if possible (hopefully Phillips/Devine is by design rather than just coincidence), help them settle into a new environment without being too comfortable, and allows them to keep building their on/off field chemistry with each other for when they return here.

Hopefully fruitful loans will build strong relations with the right kind of clubs, where we can be confident they will receive fair playing time, in the right kind of system, and the clubs won't feel aggrieved when the players are re-called as they will be confident of getting another player or two from the next batch.

Donley and Dorrington to PV for the remainder of this season, and then maybe to Plymouth in the Championship next year could be ideal.
