Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Seems a few tactico types are keen on RKM.

Honestly think that’s the best deal we can do in January

I don't know. Screams of a YT highlight super star. Looks good on the ball but underlying numbers (for a forward) are very poor.

He had one really good season at Frankfurt. A decent season before that at Nantes. But has been a massive flop for PSG.

He's a big money flop. I don't understand why anyone thinks he'll come to Spurs and suddenly be better.

Flop at PSG isn’t a red flag for me.

I don’t think there are better players moving on initial loans in January and tbh I’ve liked him since he was a candidate to replace Kane.

Good feet for a big lad

Ange reluctant to add more defensive additions

Ange Postecoglou says he is reluctant to bring in more defenders in January with Ben Davies, Micky Van de Ven and Cristian Romero soon to return from injury, and Destiny Udogie also working his way back to full fitness.

Asked whether he would consider adding to the club's left-back ranks, with Djed Spence filling in out of position for a number of games, he said: "It depends, we're in a tricky situation. Ben Davies can play left-back, we could have three very, very good defenders coming back in very quickly.

"Destiny [Udogie] will be a bit longer. It's a bit of a balancing act. The beauty of bringing in someone like Antonin Kinsky is he was part of our plans anyway.

"I'm really reluctant to bring in another body for the sake of it. They have to either fit into what we're trying to do or is going to help us straight away. Those are the kind of criteria we're looking at."

Problem I've seen with us for years now is that we sign players who aren't suited to the systems we play, and that goes all the way back to when we signed tiny Rebrov (arguably the best AM in the world with the right striker in a passing system) and deployed him as a target man in long ball. We signed fast break tap in merchant Soldado to play in a high press where he was constantly crowded out etc.

The best indicator of any player coming in is to look at their play in situations we often find ourselves in. If their highlight reel mostly consists of situations we don't regularly see at Spurs then they're probably not going to do as well here.

If Levy is committed to Ange then our first priority should be a central midfielder that can control the pace of games and distribute intelligently under pressure. Sadly that means finding a Modric like figure, which are rarer than hens teeth.

Yea, I don't really buy that view.
I get what you mean, but the way Ange sets up the team we would not just need Modric in midfield.
Maybe we could pull off prime Dembele paired with prime Modric.

Anything less than that, you can buy 80 million midfielder and this system would still make him look like shit.

Cause if you look at the games, our midfielders are constantly outnumbered. In few recent games this has taken another twist and looks like we've given up playing midfield alltogether, just hoof straight from defense to attack.

Totally agree with Ange on this tbf, despite what a number of fans clamour for, injuries is not a reason to go out and buy a bunch of players just for the sake of it.

Our squad is full, any signing needs to be made because we view them as better than those already in the squad, we can't just sign players in order to cover injuries or else come final squad registration we'll have to either leave out the injured who won't then be available once fit, or have no room to register the new players.

We need rotation. our defence are all getting regular injuries.
It happened last season.
It's happened again this season.

Or we just pull the trigger on the real problem.

I don’t know, I’m not stupid enough to watch it all. I stopped when he said we didn’t need to buy another keeper because we already had five. I wasn’t giving him another moment of my time after that.

All the OTT shouting is daft.
But I didn't hear a word that wasn't true.

On the other hand, I'm currently watching one of the brothers on WeAreTottenhamTV talking as much fucking nonsense in defence of Ange as poxy RichardArlison who we know is a troll.

I’ve only watched him actually live once. When we beat Frankfurt in the champions league at home under Conte and absolutely nothing stood out about him for me. I remember there being quite a bit of noise about him so kept an eye on him and he didn’t trouble us that night.

Another highlights player with good marketing is what I suspect but I haven’t watched him enough. Live though, I wasn’t impressed, not enough to spend what psg did on him anyway.
