It's money they can kid themselves all they want. Levy ain't paying and ambitious players know it full well. Low wage bill, massive profits he's not wasting these killer metrics on average French players when bang average Welsh ones will do. 😆

We have actually dodged a bullet with Koko Muani, but Ange must see the play himself now. Or he knows it all along.
It wasn't about the money though, if you go by the reports coming out. His wages wouldn't have changed.

Pinch of salt and all that, but the only report we have seen, where wages were mentioned, was that Juve offered to cover 70% whilst we offered to cover 100%.

As far as the player is concerned, same money. It then would all be on who he wanted to play for. He chose Juve, so be it. Absolutely nothing to do with money or how ENIC operate, if the reports are to be believed.

Even that I think is a club concern rather than RKM, he will be getting his full whack regardless, if Juve are only covering 70% then it leaves PSG having to cover the remaining 30%.

As you say, he's made his decision because he prefers to go there over coming here, presumably for either footballing reasons, or lifestyle.

I'm not disputing this by the way, just the way that Werner's wages are continually reported. The only reason we can 'afford' Werner's wages is because of the short term contract because clubs tend to work out salaries on a yearly basis.

Strictly speaking...if we were offered Werner for 5 years only we'd turn it down because we wouldn't budget for such a player over a longer period.
If we can afford 165k/week now, why wouldn’t we in September?

We can afford 300k pw for Kvaradona but we don’t offer it.

Why don’t we offer it?
Probably for the same reason we could afford 30m for Orban but didn’t offer it.

The risk to reward ratio is not right.

Also what player in their prime is choosing Tottenham over PSG?

It’s one thing for a player who is one step from elite choosing a club where he will get more playing time (Dragusin) but it’s another for aomeone who is in their prime.

I felt legit bad for the kid seeing him not get the start or even minutes for the Tamworth game. If your manager doesn't have faith in you to score against Tamworth, what realistic chance do you have of seeing significant minutes against any of the other opposition, which are all better? Letting Werner and Moore split minutes at LW would have been absolutely fine.

Once again very, very strange, counter-intuitive coaching decisions from Ange.

Very tangible proof that all this "building for the future" and "project manager" stuff is just a bogus excuse for shit results but nothing else.

Whining about having to play Dragusin-Grey duo every minute of every game, while having Dorrington on the bench.
Whining about fullbacks being overplayed (and getting injured) after frozing out Spence, even though his early season cameos were excellent.
Keeping Kulusevski on until final whistle after being up 5:0 vs Southampton...

Just real WTF so often.
How do we/he think that other clubs manage to sell their academy kids for nice money (and try if they are up for it)? Part of it is to expose them in instances where it is possible. But hey, running your starters to ground and frozing out youth prospects might be some genius move too...right?

Looks like bollox but he has probably the best youtube HLs you could ever hope to see.
What about this one then?

Feel as if any signing we make now will be a Kinsky / Odobert type, out of the blue, lesser known kinda player.
no point then.

Son and Johnson should be rotational substitutes for next season. Odobert could potentially start but that depends on how he performs when he's back. The wide/forward type has to be a proven guaranteed starter type of signing.

NEW
Odobert
Son
Johnson
Moore

Forgetting Kvara specifically but pay top wages you get top players.

If Kvara had 2 offers, more money from us and less from PSG, he plays for Spurs

Disagree. If we can keep Romero and VDV fit, we are more than capable of winning it, particularly if we are ensconced in mid-table by the latter stages and can rest players for the matches.
Yea, you mean like we were flying extremely high and brushing teams aside in the league when we had Romero and VdV available, right?

We were ~10th in table where they got injured ffs.

We were equally shit from Jan-May WITH Romero + VdV too. In fact Romero's defending this season have been most likely much worse compared to likes of Benny Davies and Archie Gray ffs.

If you think we can’t, cool. No worries. Enjoy your day.
