Transfers January Transfer Thread 24/25

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I think there is a bright side in all this , not the 8 point gap from relegation that can be easily chased down . We do however have an 18 point gap over Southampton and there is no way they are making that up even if we lose every game until the end of the season .
#We won’t finish bottom
We have a very interesting scenario unfolding now where there are 3 teams hovering at the drop and then us and everton a mere 7 points up from that. 2/3 of Ipswich and Wolves and Leicester could easily catch form and blow past us if we can't come up with some points in the next 3 to 4 games. That would leave us in the drop. We've just helped Everton start a winning streak, and now have done the same for Leicester.

Lange needs to fall on his sword this summer. Levy and Ange are getting all the heat while he giggles in the shadows

Someone who gets paid so much should've done a flake of research and seen Ange's high intensity football brings about alot of injuries and alot of fatigue.
It did at Celtic, at it did here in his first season with all the injuries we suffered.

So what was with that limp summer window, how was that gonna improve the situation, and then you have this joke of a window .

Fall on your sword mate, out of his depth

Ange was hired before Lange, right?

Maybe Lange doesn't really want Ange here and has his own idea in the background

How long does this long term strategy need, given ENIC have been here 25 years.
The past few years have been POOR. I hold Levy responsible for three consecutive poor managerial appointments. He has got the past 4 years horribly wrong in my view, even if there are signs of a good strategy emerging again (young players, data driven approach).

However it would be stupid to ignore 21 years of incredible progress we made on and off the field before that.

Under normal circumstances I’d agree with the long term view, however we’re hovering around relegation and the current crop of players (kids) don’t have what it takes to safely steer out of this mess.

Getting relegated will have far more serious repercussions than signing players that might not get a lot of playing time next season. And let’s be honest that’s going of the assumption we just sign dross, it really shouldn’t be that hard to find players that provide upside over some in the starting 11.
Might have to pay some serious wages for it…
I don’t think relegation is a serious threat. It’s about as bad as it can be without relegation.

Players will come back and we’ll be bottom half but safe.

Agree we won't, but we will finish in the lowest spot in my memory.

Anywhere between 17th and 14th

They can all fuck off
Let’s hope we can play a final and our young players continue to get good game time. We have some very high ceiling young players (Kinsky, Gray, Spence kinda, Bergvall, Moore) who are benefiting from this. Hopefully our next manager will be able to benefit.

Cunha is versatile enough and of high enough quality to fit in. So even if we have to overpay, do it as it’ll damage Wolves who after today I’m prepared to admit are rivals in the league.
If we’re shopping there I wouldn’t mind Alt-Nouri and Andre too

Monday after a loss like that you expect to see either Ange sacked or furious amounts of transfer rumours.

What's the betting we see neither?

Ange post game press conference he said club working hard again but also, even just one player coming in would lift the squad.

The board clearly don't want to lift the squad at this point. They have seen the years that Son gave this club and decided, "nah fuck Son, our ego's are what matters, we are closed for business".
