Looks like he's played mostly RW this season so would make perfect sense that we see him as our left back. Has played there as well. We'd probably end up needing him to cover CB eventually as well.

I get your point, but Dorgu also needs to see himself as a left back, which I'm not convinced he does.

Also, I believe we need a more well-balanced left back. We have the very offensive defender in Udogie. So when Ange undeniably gets fired in the spring - because of bad results due to his tactical ineptitude and persistence in playing all-offensive football constantly - we also need someone on the left to be defensive.

If I'm wrong and Ange actually shows some diversity in his future match plans, a more defensive back will also be good for such tactics.

In other words, I don't see Dorgu as the right fit on left back - and I'm actually Danish.

Thanks for all your inputs.
His stats look great.

So many were screaming for him a while back but he’s one of these players who’s played top level at international level but when you watch him he just isn’t special. For the crazy wages he’d be on you expect so much more. He might come and completely surprise us. I’ve seen him as wide forward and think he doesn’t get in the game but he’s better more centrally. Would he play before Dom? He doesn’t suit how Ange wants his wingers to play.

Giving up on Vicario because we signed a 21 year old GK?

Seems a bit premature mate.

To me Vicario is the best shot stopper I’ve seen at Spurs, Hugo included, better with his feet than Hugo and getting better every game on corners and crosses.

Hopefully Kinsky is really pushing in the next couple years but I’d expect him to be #2 start of next season still. 21 is a toddler for a GK
Agree with that. Hopefully Vic comes back strong and works hard on crosses. Has the potential to be top 5 in the world if he improves that aspect. Needs to be nastier.

I haven't seen much of him either but from reading about him from those (Spurs fans) who have seen him a lot, he doesn't look like a player Spurs need. He seem to be a bit erratic performance wise and Betis play a double DM system (Cardoso & Sergi Altimira) while Angelos plays with 1 DM.

Betis is set to loan DM Stefan Bajcetic from Liverpool - as there are rumours that Betis may sell Sergi Altimira (one many former La Masia products) to an EPL club.

Cardosso is honestly one I just have a feeling we will regret if we let him slip by.

He has a crazy ceiling as a player, no kidding Rodri type of ceiling but he’s clearly not there yet. Thing is, we have high ceiling CMs like Sarr, Bergvall, and Gray already but Cardosso would come in and be more like Sarr in being a season or 2 from peaking as opposed to Gray and Bergvall who are both 2-3 seasons away from peaking.

If we were signing a peak now CM then let Cardosso slip by…. But we all know we aren’t and there aren’t even that many peak now CMs out there. Ederson maybe but City need a player in that Spot and we know they would get first pick.

I dont think cardoso has the running power required for us at the moment, under a diff system he could thrive here.Good passer of the ball

Biggest knock I see on him is his mobility. Shade of PEH, but we definitely need some muscle in the middle of the pitch and definitely brings an element to the CM position we don’t currently have.

THFC have had players like that in the past but currently we don't have "wage thieves" IMO, and we won't be getting any more in as long as Ange is here.
Reggie has trained well otherwise he would be nowhere near the squad but Werner has flopped this season.
In an ideal world we sell Bissouma but otherwise I am very happy with our squad.

We need 2 experienced players to come and lift the team, the stadium and TFC.

Forget about youngsters for now. We need signings to produce the goods today not tomorrow.

He’s a big lad but I think PEH is a bit harsh as a comp for mobility. His turning circle is much better and he’s much more panoramic in the way he moves the ball by pass or dribble. Not really a big time ball carrier though.

Has really really good defensive discipline and instincts though.

Guy is an utter cunt. Probably the worst Spurs fan out there...and we got Fixxy, Shady, LP and the Japanese puzzle master. Can't listen to him for one second. And he pretends to be a tough guy, gets all mouthy when sitting 20 yards away from you at the ground but soon as you get within touching distance, he shits himself.

Tool of the highest (lowest?) order.
You’re quite disregulated today. Practice some mindfulness and come back when you’re in a better state of mind.

I wouldnt say run all over. He seems clever in his positioning and would be ideal as more of a sitting role
I’ve only really seen him that game and he got to everything before Gallagher. Positioning and running power to be there was all on display. Tbh he dominated that Atleti MF which is probably the hardest working in La Liga.

Thing is, I don’t think he’s done it again since. Do you watch more La Liga or Betis and have a decent take on why? Like I said that’s literally the only game I watched so have no idea.

Awful footballer but defensively exactly what we need. Perhaps not a starter every game but exactly what’s needed when we are winning. Footballing ability could improve over time
