Transfers January Transfer Thread 24/25

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

You can call it hysterical all you like man. We are unlikely to finish outside the bottom half. We definitely aren't getting in to European spots barring incredible form we haven't seen since the start of Ange's time in charge. Next up? The Emirates. We could be 14th after that one and level with 15th. Still then have to go to the Bridge and Anfield this season.

The league season is essentially over already, short term focus or not. None of this is an emotional take, it is simply dealing with the facts. Results are king in football, not your emotions on how much you like our young talent and hope they will flourish. That isn't factual. It is just you, as a football fan, hoping they meet their potential.

I am relying on results, on current reality. You are relying on maybes. If you enjoy doing that then go for it. But it is a choice.
Man, you have turned a new leaf. Still engaging with that awful twat and calling him a football fan. You've not come down from NYE shenanigans, eh? Or you got a serious hit to the head.

Dorrington is 19 and can’t get a game for Gray who is 18 and is a centre mid or right back if needed. Spence is a wing back and got the nod before him. When
Dragusin went off we put Spence into centre back
and put in a player who we can’t get rid of who’s deemed nowhere near good enough to be near our team at left back. And Phillips looks a championship defender at best from what I’ve seen.
It’s only my opinion but I don’t think these two will even make 5 league starts for us between them.
Phillips fought relegation with Plymouth last year, and again this season with Stoke.

He'll fit right in at Tottenham.

I don't even know that Tottenham is an ideal stepping stone club for anyone anymore- unless jailbroken with a giant free, most players just seems to sort of collect here due to their large wages (too larged to return to lower leagues), and slowly stagnate until walking on a free or cut-price transfer.
THFC have had players like that in the past but currently we don't have "wage thieves" IMO, and we won't be getting any more in as long as Ange is here.
Reggie has trained well otherwise he would be nowhere near the squad but Werner has flopped this season.
In an ideal world we sell Bissouma but otherwise I am very happy with our squad.

I'd agree with this. We have players being played out of position and players who are low on morale, but not real wage thieves. Closest we have to that are Werner and Richie. Both of whom we need to get shot of.

Fuck RKM. Nice kid and I feel for his situation at PSG but nah. Let West Ham or Palace have him.

Give Brentford the 60-80 mil they'd ask for Mbeumo. Better...give them Johnson + 30 mil...double whammy. Then give Mbeumo wages like proper serious big clubs do.

You're welcome.
Agreed. I'd go Johnson plus £50m tbh if necessary tbh. Johnson is what ... honestly ... a £15m - £20m player?

Viccario to Inter. Just leaving this here man.
Giving up on Vicario because we signed a 21 year old GK?

Seems a bit premature mate.

To me Vicario is the best shot stopper I’ve seen at Spurs, Hugo included, better with his feet than Hugo and getting better every game on corners and crosses.

Hopefully Kinsky is really pushing in the next couple years but I’d expect him to be #2 start of next season still. 21 is a toddler for a GK

Id be wary mate - he’s okay, nothing special from what I’ve seen.

As always when it comes to transfers like this and Spurs, there’s always a whiff of it being more of an “opportunity” signing as opposed to someone we have pinpointed that we really want and will come in and really improve us.
With this one I can see the fit with our squad tbh.

He can give Solanke rest and also start out wide. Would be the end of Werner without really being a blockage for Mikey Moore or Odobert
