You can make 3 changes, so we could take out, say Forster, Odobert and Werner and add in Djed and 2 new players. And that's only the case for Europe which we're unlikely to be in next season and might only have 4 games if we make the QFs. For the Premier League we have 2 spaces free for over 21s without having to take anybody out, 3 if you unregister Max Robson. We don't need to be looking specifically at HG or U21 players at this stage.

We already used our extra space on Kinsky. We lose an international spot due to only having 3 club trained players.

Isn't Max Robson club trained? Dropping him doesn't get us another foreign player spot, or even a home grown spot.

if Vicario isn't fit for a while, taking out Forster would be a risk. Odobert is back in training, not sure de registering him is particularly useful.

Werner seems the obvious one, but we are lacking in many areas. CB, full back, strikers. 1 player isn't going to really drag us out of this problem.

That Colombian midfielder, available at £17m odd.

That wing forward Cherki available at similar.

Might not be exactly right, but have clear qualities we desperately need (ie. Legs that work and not utterly exhausted, injured or demoralised, at least for a few games until we break them anyway).

Cherki clearly has a very iffy personality but he is a high talent and in our position if it’s him or nobody… let’s be honest, Ange has shown more dickhead behaviour towards the fans than this Cherki has towards Lyon, so the no dickhead policy is a misnomer when it’s a manager who acts as ours does in our present predicament.

They are both free transfers, Versus the cost of relegation. Net positive if they help us miraculously win the EL and gain CL next season. Even if they just help us up 5places from say 17 to 12, that pays half of one of their transfer fees.

Nonsense to claim we can’t improve our squad very significantly this week.

You’d turn down a job that was triple your salary for 4 years guaranteed? Because it was a mess at the company?

Especially knowing that it wouldn’t really harm your reputation if it didn’t work out?

Give me a break. Reality is right there if you just face it.
None of these players or managers ever need to work again. They are motivated by more than just money. Especially because Iraola will have clubs lining up for him.

It’s people like you and me who do need to work again who would do anything to quadruple our salary.

The only reasons I can think of to keep Ange are:

1. He has not lost the dressing room.
2. Vicario, Romero, VdV, Udogie etc. will be back soon and we will improve.
2. In a one off game against a bigger team Ange can beat anyone (as we've seen against Man U, Man C and Liverpool in the League Cup this season).

This season is all about the cups and Ange has a better chance of winning them for us than anyone else this season. I wouldn't change manager until we're out of the EL.
This a hundred times.

No one has a better chance in the cups this season and we’re still in all 3.

Cue the next manager and keep ange while we can win things.

Gets difficult only if we fall further in the league.

Kinsky is U21 so doesn't take up a space for Prem. Those squad rules are only important for around 2-6 games over the next couple of seasons depending on how far we go in Europa. We have 3 open slots for Prem, FA Cup and League Cup that we can fill with no restrictions
