Player João Palhinha

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Yeah it's a fair point, but we can't read his mind and maybe he does genuinely rate some of these players the fans had all but written off too.

I'm sure in some cases you're right, but in others he may be actually impressed and feel these players have qualities we need moving forward.
yes, I mean some of these players - most notably Palhinha - have actually played very well for RDZ so far. Make no mistake about what a big deal getting out of this situation is and what it says about a player's character. Compare with finishing 6 or 7th etc etc

Palhinha is a very good, experienced player who brings maturity and leadership. Subject to us staying up and bringing in at least 1 other CM who can pass the ball then I would sign Palhinha as an alternative option. What I don’t want to see is a trio of Palhinha, Bentancur and Gallaghers next season.

However, what worries me is both the lack of ‘legs’ and ‘creativity’ in central midfield. Selling Bissouma and Sarr and signing only 1 CM won’t fix this. As much as Bergvall and Gray have huge potential and Palhinha and Bentancur have experience, there’s a lack of the required quality to be competitive with the top 6, even 8 clubs. It may be that we don’t sign Palhinha or let Bentancur go, and bring in 2 new central midfielders.

Definitely our most important player this season.

How many points have his goals won us? How many goals have his tackles saved us?

We’d have been proper fucked without him and his fight.
