It feels like Spurs got knocked for six by the Gibbs-White situation and haven't found a way forward.The big four have disrupted the market to such a degree there doesn't seem to be much opportunity remaining. In a normal window we would have had a clear path to at least two players we've missed out on, but this isn't a normal market. You fall back to your second and third choices at positions and those four teams are still making runs at players late in the window. Spurs should have elbowed their way in early on and didn't. Now it's time for table scraps.

First off you have to say they all work with one hand tied behind their backs. We know which interferring, control freak has the final say, sets the budgets and direction and appoints these people.
Having said that for the 2nd summer running its an absolute shitshow. Lazy, lowest common denominator stuff. The squad building is abysmal. We had 5 players who could play off the left last season (5!). We're now down to 2 completely unproven 20 yr olds. 1 left back for another season? A front 2 of Richy and Solanke again? We cant move anyone on and just seem hapless. Whatever we do now, and i'd assume we do something, it will just be blind panic and not worthy of any plaudits, even if we stumbled on Eze and Kolo Muani (we wont).

How has Solomon not found a home? He had a very successful loan and you don’t even need to hold out for big money because he was free… anything you get is pure profit after 2 years of very minimal wages
I think alot of players minus the very ambitious ones just want to stay.

- while we pay lower wages these are low wage players so unlikely to get much more cash, maybe less.

Our set up is like a day care for footballers. Unless you are better than us with lots of ambition why leave. We have the ultimate cosy environment.

Starting to think he is already on his way out. This window feels like it has all the hallmarks of a levy window on bouncing about cheap punts and players offered by agents. It doesn’t feel driven by people actually employed to do their jobs like this guy. Take a step back and it even feels different to last summer, it feels like it did pre Poch.
I can't remember the last time we bought players ready for pre season. This guy seems to identify youth but not experience well
Chelsea literally kick them out of the training ground to force them to move, Gallagher was begging to stay and they forced him out. We could do that but we aren’t that ruthless.
