The chairman should have a deciding say in setting a budget but no say in negotiating contracts. Imagine any business where a CEO is negotiating with suppliers? Such a thing doesn't exist. Mr. Levy has had more than enough time to demonstrate whether he has any ability to negotiate contracts. It doesn't seem that he does. The stadium, the business deals, merchandising are things he has shown himself to be good at. The involvement in negotiating player contracts seems to just be a vanity project or hobby. Better that he gives the football people a budget and then steps away.
I thought this but larger player purchases are c.10-15% of our total revenue…. Which is vast and basically M & A territory for bigger businesses % wise. Anyway, the problem with the bald cunt goes far beyond his inability to close deals for good players.

Made some brilliant signings inc Vdv, Solanke, Madders and to lesser degree Vicario but Dragusin and Johnson, whilst being decent players are not suited to the system at all and were brought in for big money.
Summer '23 window was without Lange - it was Gabanini in interim role . Dragusin, Werner and Bergvall are his first signings
