Management Johan Lange - Technical Director

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Wouldn’t surprise me if most of our transfer targets come from AI tools. Data led scouting is his area. He probably gets his chosen or custom AI to do the work for him.
I asked ChatGPT about Summer priorities. This is what they suggested:

1. Creative Midfielder / Playmaker

A true creator would help solve Spurs’ lack of consistent goal-creating spark:
Elliot Anderson (Nottingham Forest) – emerging English midfielder with attacking creativity — Spurs should pursue if available.

2. Defensive Midfielder / Midfield Anchor

A strong No.6 helps protect the backline and improves control in the center of the pitch:
Amadou Onana (Everton) – has Premier League experience, athletic and strong defensively.
Ruben Neves (Free agent in summer) – experienced midfielder who can contribute passes & leadership.

3. Wingers / Wide Attackers

Given injuries and the sale of Brennan Johnson, Spurs need reliable wide attacking options:
Yan Diomande (RB Leipzig) – quick, young winger Spurs have been linked with; high ceiling.
Savinho (Manchester City) – talented wide attacker linked before; could add flair and goals.
Serge Gnabry (Free agent) – experienced, goal-threat winger available on a free.

4. Striker / Secondary Goal Scorer

Competition for Dominic Solanke and back-up firepower. Solanke is valuable but Spurs need another reliable forward — both to rest him and to score consistently:
Dusan Vlahovic (Free agent) – proven goalscorer available on a free and would be a big upgrade.

5. Defensive Reinforcement

Depth at full-back helps in a long season with multiple competitions. Depending on departures, Spurs could look at:
Max Aarons (Right back) – attacking full-back to improve width and defensive balance.

Its obvious not much was done everywhere bar City this window and what he says is right to an extent.

But our need was greater than most. Could we not have bought in a forward or fullback on loan? In the whole of world football no one to at least hold the fort for 6 months? Why did we not recall some of our own loanees like other clubs did this January? If we didnt have break clauses it smacks of incompetence, if we did and just didnt bother then the same.

All very weak and half hearted, bit like us as a club these days.
Plenty of players out there like a lookman or monaco
Kid. Yes bring some of players on loan back. He’ll even Solomon could have done a job. Lange is aduck. They e had 5 months to scout and all they found was a 19 yr old Brazilian who it seems is not ready to be in first team . Connor G required no real scouting. So what df have they been doing. Also why is it when we buy youngsters they are never rest yet other clubs would play there’s like palace did with Wharton?

Tbh have to give credit to lange getting bergvall. Good signing that. Imo we're limping to summer then major changes that might include lange getting a p45.
Was speaking to a friend today about Lange, and the problem with him, is without his stats, he has no idea what to look for in player... He just doesn't have the knack for spotting players with talent, and as such can't build a proper squad...

Which basically means we just get lots of players of various different jigsaw puzzles, that ultimately don't really fit together as squad, which is part of the problem at spurs... We just have Frankenstein squad with no real thought behind it...

This what I want to see from the new owners, words regarding building a style at the club, that is the core foundation from youth to senior, The Spurs way, this is how we play (with a bit tactical flexibility when needed) and this how train our players, regardless if they elite players being brought or a 10 year old playing in the youth squad, they all get taught the same system...

Rather Levy's flip flop fuck upus the clubus, swapping between vastly different styles from one manager to the next.

We need an identity, a style, that lives and breathes at all levels of the club.

Oh noes !

I hope they don’t sack him before the window , giving them an excuse not to “ go big” in the summer

That would never happen , would it !?!

I do not think Lange's the right man the job for the Spurs job....but, as some of you may not have realized, it's not Lange who's controlling the finances...
But if Lewis had told him that he should buy 2 quality player and pay whatever is needed I am sure even Lange (and Paractici) would have been able to identify and get those 2 players...

Vinai is a sock puppet, and ENIC cuck.

I can live with him staying in the role - IF they get a proper football guy under him.

Get the right DoF, and everything can still work.

Vinai can sit around not making decisions, setting budgets, doing his monthly interviews etc

A DoF can then do the right stuff

They need to understand who we are

They need to understand the squad, what it needs, the youth set up, what it offers

And they need to buy accordingly

Hire a manager that can produce this football and work within this set up

Wonderfully simple, really, isnt it?

Yeah, they're not gonna do any of this... much easier to do nothing.

Data driven recruitment can get to fuck. How do you build a squad with personality and character through that shit process? The reason all these data driven recruitment clubs are mid table is because data is so misleading.
Did Man City sign Cherki because of data? No they signed him because he’s a brilliant technically gifted footballer. Guehi signing for them has fuck all to do with data. Have Woolwich signed players on data. No,they went out and strengthened there squad on players and positions that improve them dramatically.

When i first saw Lange interviewed by club I thought he had no charisma and dull. Let's see what pans out in the summer.
The whole club had no charisma and is dull just now.
Even on the pitch we are dull. The players that do have a bit of charisma or personality get vilified. Maddison,Xavi and Romero are 3 players that have had stick but they have more about them than most and give a fuck. They might not play well every game but just by watching them they have that big game personality. I’ll add Micky into that too and maybe Paulinha but out of a squad of 25/30 players thats poor.

I dont think its a binary

Data can absolutely help find targets, people with certain attributes, whom you might not have spotted otherwise

But, its not the only criteria to buying someone, and cant be

Once you have identified likely targets you then need to look at the intangibles more, like character etc

Anyone notice that Lange sounds like Kermit the frog when he speaks?

Makes about as much sense as him as well.
That's not the only passing resemblance:

I can just imagine his face when he opened that email to talk about the window. Surely he knew what was coming, and keeping the comments open on everything is absolutely top class incompetence from the club.

Keep it up.
I think it was deliberate... A deliberate cry for heko from someone on the inside... THE infamous MATCHDAY MOLE maybe?:ange-hmm::contekiss::levyeyes::adeninja:

We’re like the classic LinkedIn, bureaucratic nonsense . You used to get people who just knew football , these days it’s full of suits with “ blue sky ideas” “ Bandwidth “ to “ push the needle “
