Lookman's exactly the type of signing 'sensible' clubs are moving away from - older, attitude issues, higher wages, no re-sale.
He's also exactly the type of panic buy a club in a relegation battle makes to keep them up. He's proven at a high level, peak age, can slot straight in etc. Not to mention he's best off the left - a position where we're gagging for a proven goalscorer. And this is a team that badly needs goals. Long term he'd likely be a hindrance but short term he's ideal.
Lange and Vinai took a colossal risk in Jan. They basically just acted like it was business as usual and reacting to the situation by sacking Frank and/or making panic buys was beneath them - something 'impatient' clubs would do. Even Levy, for all his sins, would've seen the writing on the wall and acted.
Could go down as one of the most infamous mistakes at a top club in modern history if it sees us relegated.
