Yeah he's so out of his depth it's unreal. I'm sure it's a bit more complicated and muddy cos of Levy's interventions, Paratici sticking his oar in, Vinai wanting to be involved but Lange has been complicit in everything. Absolutely catastrophic body of work since he's been here.
He's signed a few decent kids, but literally everything else has been a complete binfire. Shit unsuited transfers like Dragusin and Gallagher, flip-flopping styles, backing the wrong manager for too long, utterly failing to give managers the tools required and create a functional, balanced squad, the Tudor debacle - he's got it all wrong.
And tbh, while I think De Zerbi is a good manager, I wouldn't be surprised if that's the wrong choice too. I think despite his best efforts, he won't be able to turn the ship around quick enough to keep us in the PL and then will leave for some random angry-man reason within 2 years and have us back at square 1.
Does beg the question why the fuck did we hire him in the first place? He wasn't even that good at Villa and he certainly hadn't taken on a role of this size before. Did Levy just want a convenient yes man while Paratici was on ice, then somehow he got overpromoted under Vinai?

That's not even a question because the answer is Sol and always will be.
It's the clubs money that Lange is wasting and that's their fault for employing him, whereas Sol personally lied to and shat on everyone of us fans.
I don't think he was on the list. He was happy at Marseille. They comfortably finished 2nd in his first season albeit a long way back of PSG but their was no indication he wanted to leave. No point him being on a list if it was a firm no. It would be like us having a list with Klopp and Pep on it. What's the point, neither are coming to Spurs. But, I do agree, that if he was on the list last summer and wanted the job, but lost out to Frank, then yes, the process and judgement is seriously flawed.

If not moved on, my assumption is that a punchbag taking the flack for a strategy that prioritises youth players and our ability to maintain a low wage bill is quite appealing to some.
