Yeah, we win cups all the time. Thanks for the hot take, Graeme Souness.
But it's a major honour and I still care about it. We are a cup glory team.

Don’t we moan when this happens against us remember Lanzini worldie in the 93rd minute. Surely we need to enjoy it going our way some times. Were you not jumping up and down at those moments. Or were you sitting there thinking “damm we are so lucky”? Regardless anyway we got to the CL final under Poch however time to move on. Where are now is further back than last season with a bigger and better squad but no there is no progression. But was the final due to management prowess and mentality or Llorente's handball not calling called, a very close offside vs city and Lucas having one of the most ridiculous half anhour of his life vs ajax.
Spot on! The jose fan bois will say he inherited crap from poch, were in a bad state blah blah blah. This idiot was bought to fix all that and improve it. He fixed or improved shit. Fucking Bob the builder could probably fix it better than this lazy coach stealing a fortune from us.Dealing with the two sides
1. If so he's useless to us, sack him.
2. See 1
Simple, if you have a manager he (or she, see I'm a modern man) has to show something to prove he's a difference maker, especially if said manager is on £300k per week.
If all he does is pick 11 names and then after that he's powerless, save £14million per year and give the job to anyone on here who is capable of naming 11 Spurs players (one of which should be a goalie).
I'm still waiting to hear of anything Mourinho has done at Spurs to
a) Justify his wages
b) prove he is still a top class manager
Just numbers there is actually no intelligence to our defending. Often you’ll see opposition players completely unmarked in our area and players are allowed to pick out passes without any pressure.I haven't watched our last 3 games, and I am not certain of the answer to your question. It looks to me that Mourinho is shockingly bad at coaching a team to press, so instead he opts for a human wall, and prays. We had 6 and 7 players in our last line against Fulham. It's mind-bending.
Let’s remember Kane was out for 3/4s of the citeh tie and Ajax games. Then compare that to how we were completely outplayed by RBL last in both games with supposedly a 2nd to none coaching team! We were woeful even worse than any of the games in 2019 CL run. All v a young upstart manager yet the special one couldn’t conjure any kind of meaningful tactic against them! Our group stage started rocky but we recovered and beat inter. In knockouts, We soundly beat Dortmund, beat what was probably the best team in Europe (man city), and got dominated by Ajax for 3 of 4 halves but came up clutch.
We weren’t prime Barca but we resembled a football team.
Yes, man city dominated, but we were still creating chances and dangerous.
Currently, our players have no clue how to attack and we are getting outshot 13-2 by 10th place Woolwich while it was 11v11 and 17-3 by an awful Liverpool.
Which is so baffling. I don’t understand why they don’t hire someone in the coaching staff who’s great at that? Go to Germany or to Klopp’s voodoo man. Do something ffs.I haven't watched our last 3 games, and I am not certain of the answer to your question. The issue for me is the performances have been there in some games this season. Funny enough, even in some games we lost (Everton, WH, etc, we really battered them). The problem is the complete swings from super attacking to a scared as fuck unit that is so baffling.Don't know if I'm being paranoid, but whenever the pundits analyse any point of our play, seems like they're doing the job for our opposition.
Our tactics are so obvious that even the most naive coaches can counter them. I was hoping that Sacramento might be the progressive coach behind the figurehead, so to speak, but haven't seen any evidence of it so far.
With Doc snuck into the deal somehow! :avbpray:He could do us a favour and sign Neto before he goes. Another Jorge Mendes client.
No one said we didnt enjoy it. But now we dont have to lie to ourselves about how bad we were in those last 11 months of Poch other than those few moments. Also this squad is nothing in comparison with one that included Jan, Rose, Walker, Dembele, Eriksen etc.Don’t we moan when this happens against us remember Lanzini worldie in the 93rd minute. I agree with all of that. I remember one game against them at WHL - the one where Gazza scored with his sock, as he had lost his boot. We lost that one, but we put up a fight and I didn't feel downhearted as I should have been, because of that. It's the games that we give up on before a ball is kicked that gets my goat, or the ones where we got an early goal and then we stop playing; we should be going for the jugular. The issue for me is the performances have been there in some games this season. I don’t buy the, pick new tactics per opponent anymore. Nah, now play the exact same way that saw us demolish 5 teams in a row. Go into the derby with that. If we lose (no fucking way we would’ve lost to that shower had we had some bite to our play!) then at least it won’t feel as gutting as it did.
Sorry, I have avoided footy since Sunday and I’m really fuming.
Well said. What I’d give for a Gazza in this squad right now!I agree with all of that. I remember one game against them at WHL - the one where Gazza scored with his sock, as he had lost his boot. You know, in the following season (2017-18) Jose got 2nd in the Premier League - ahead of Poch's Spurs, Klopp's Liverpool and Conte's Chelsea - and got to an FA Cup Final (beating Spurs on the way). Surely we should consider those results when looking at the evolution of his work there? You can't blame it all on luck. Not everything that worked at his time at United was down to luck - not to mention the other 20+ titles in his career. In fairness that was just a load of crap from Mourinho to make himself sound good. The truth was, Sanchez, unlucky deflection apart, gave Man Ure nothing. Jose targetted the two young defenders and they coped with everything. Like most things Mourinho that season, it was a piece of sheer luck that made the difference
24 cups? 8 FA cups, 4 League cups, 2 UEFA Cups, 1 Cup Winners Cup. 2 Titles, that’s 17 major trophies. Not bad, but not 24.That is dipper tier talking points from SSN right there. Spurs didn't begin when Poch took us over.
We have 24 cups and 2 league titles to our name. Top 4 isn't a trophy.

Look I don’t have to look up lists to see what we’ve won. I know what we’ve won. I’m not denigrating Spurs, I’m just pointing out we haven’t won 24 cups. You’re out of your depth here, another new fan. Learn some history. You'd best correct this page then. Perhaps you can take League Cups of the Major Honours list whilst you're at it if it helps prove your point that we aren't a cup side.
We are top 6 all time winners in England and that is "not bad". The state of fans these days.
Precisely. They haven’t a clue what we’ve won and need recourse to the internet. They’re a joke. Do you recognise yourself here?
The defence is shambolic which is meant to be his strength. But what worries me is that there is absolutely no discernible style to our play when we do have the ball, unless you consider playing crap ,, hoofing it and hoping for the best a style, interspersed with hopefully someone can do something magic to save the dayJust numbers there is actually no intelligence to our defending.
