Manager Jose Mourinho

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

No point in people spouting their sh!t. Personally not interested.

The man laps up the plaudits, had convinced many pundits, including Neville and Souness amongst others but now has a challenge.

We know he will be critical today of some players. Absolute certainty. Maybe he will also blame tiredness. I hope he doesn't but he might.

Different manager same weakness for me. Not our play because managers play a certain way and those who hire them know that but he ain't fixed the mentality to the place where it needs to be.

No idea what he will do next but he won't be taking the blame.

It's up to him to right the ship now. This is the first time we've had a wobble with him in charge where he's had a mostly fit squad (I'm not counting our streak of poor performances missing Kane and Sonny).

This is where he needs to show his mettle.

Ndombele and Lo Celso cost a lot of money and in the 18 months they have been here shown very little.
Sissoko is probably given his transfer fee and wages is probably the worst signing in our history and many of our fans think he is decent
Maybe cause we are trying to play these shite negative tactics? Give the guys attacking football and we will see the flourish.

Sissoko yes, he's one of the worst players I've seen with our shirt.

I may have said this before. But we probably should have backed Pocchetino instead of imposing our own transfer embargo for 2 transfer windows.

I think we'd be watching much better football and feeling much happier right now if we had.

Shitting on our most promising coach in a generation will haunt us for years.

I think his style of football can only be justified if you win trophies. Without the trophies it's not worth watching.

I agree and with how we played in the group stage of the EL and against Norwich in the FA last season I think there are legitimate concerns about the likelihood of us winning a trophy under him.

I know for many Jose apologists their favorite defense is "if we win will you care how we play" but that assumes we win and we don't look to be any more likely to do so than we have in the past 5-6 years prior.

I'll care how we play even with a cup. I could tolerate it if we won the league because i desperately want us to do that in my lifetime but a league cup wouldnt cover up this bore fest, same as Graham.

If we win a trophy this year and finish top 4 in the league, I would be fine in large part so we can get rid of the empty trophy case nonsense. I would still hope that we would move on from Jose if all we did was win 1 trophy, especially if it were the League Cup.

But winning a Cup would make this season fine. If it meant we are keeping Jose beyond this season though, then perhaps I would have to weigh that against the Cup win.

Largely agree but trophy or not he has to get top 4, he had backing, a decent start, other teams struggling, he's paid a fortune to get us into the champions keague. With you on moving on next summer regardless though.

"The penalty is not a penalty created. It is a penalty that we commit. It's not something that was created, that comes in a sequence of something great, and for me comes out of context as at the time was our best period of the half.

"We started bad. The first 20 minutes was a poor performance. Some empty spots in space, pressing, attitude and I didn't like at all.

"Then we change and adapted and had a period of domination and chances. Then the penalty which was out of context."

Mourinho on the second half

"They didn't trouble us either. They scored through Toby's own goal and I don't remember anything else. I remember Schmeichel making an incredible save. Yes, we didn't create 15 chances and they defended well."

"But that we didn't start well isn't because I told them not to start well. We did start bad though yeah."

Mourinho on Aurier's penalty

"Is it a problem? Let's focus on today. It was a mistake but it was mistake in minute 45 or 46. Then we had players making mistakes in other areas. I can't blame players for making a mistake."

He has a very big game this Wednesday if he wants to say with justication that this part of the season has been a success.

Got a big job in seeing who is fit, physically and mentally.

Today I felt he should have rested one of Son or Kane. You just give the opposing team a different challenge that they weren't expecting and of course still hold the option. Hindsight is wonderful but....

Is it Mourinho himself or the tools he has at his disposal?

I just think Wednesday has come at a good and bad time..

We've squandered any kind of fear factor we had previously when we put 5 passed Southampton and 6 passed Man Utd before scoring 3 goals at will against West Ham.

No team goes into a game against us fearing we'll destroy them. They either have to take the game to us, press us and play on the counter and put a man on Kane.

No idea what's happened really. A man of Mourinhos experience should be able to figure it out though I am sure.

Wolves away next. Should be fun.

We will hope for redemption agains Wolves, but I bet we will play this same shite tactics and the same shite football. Mourinho is the most predictable manager in the league, and the prediction is boring football.
