Nope. United appointed Mourinho the same Summer City appointed Guardiola. Both teams had ageing squads needing rejuvenating. Look at the difference between the two teams now.

You say if he wins us trophies it improves the mentality of the club. Nonsense. If we win a lucky Carabou Cup or Europa League as he did at United but are playing shit football week in week out, spluttering along in the league, will you honestly be happy with that?

Him being ex chav is most certainly not the only reason I don't want him, it merely added a cherry to the cake.

Mourinho has been finished as a top level manager since Guardiola arrived with his pressing style of football, which brought rise to a new wave of coaches who followed this style which completely destroyed the pragmatic, reactive style of football played by Mourinhos generation of managers.

I admire your optimism mate, I genuinely do, but theres only one way this appointment will end and that is in tears.
 
If he wins 2 FA cups or the Europa league (most likely where we will end up next year) and a domestic cup in the 3 good years he usually gives you, before it goes tits up. He will be the most successful spurs manager in 30 years.

Get him in get the chequebook out and use his name to sign genuine class to replace the toxic shit that need to leave and we have won anyway. We can't be worse or have a worse style of play then we have for almost a full year

The Chelsea connection doesn’t bother me. He hates them now. It’s things like his treatment of Shaw that are pretty disgraceful.

I’d still be surprised if he joined us, as he simply doesn’t join clubs without regular winning pedigree. He wins a lot of trophies, but so do most managers at Chelsea, Real, Inter, Porto, and United.

I still think he’d be a very interesting appointment.
 
Not sure about Mourinho. I called him a prick on here some months ago and he definitely is one - now he's imminent and I'm nervous but also excited.

Pros: serial winner, trophies, elite in-game management (Poch was massively lacking in this dept), won't tolerate bullshit from the players

Cons: will burn everything to the ground within three years and leave Christian Eriksen on the floor in a crying heap

Buckle up for what will surely be an absolute car crash or one of the greatest spells in our history. One things for sure Amazon are getting their money's worth - it's going to be a hell of a ride either way. COYS
