Manager Jose Mourinho

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Every big game under him has been the same performance. We sit back, our forwards barely touch the ball and there is no control. The one result he's pulled out was a fluke but the other games we deserved to get beat.

maybe I am being naive but one thing I was hoping from Mourinho is that with Kane injured the hoof it to Kane and play off him trick out the way we would try something different.

We still have Bergwijn, Lucas and Dele, nothing to have stopped us playing a 4-3-3 high press Klopp style.

Mourinho is a very mercurial character and has been know to change styles and tactics in his career. I just wish we don’t got down the classic Mourinho route of deep defending and get one goal, I don’t think our defensive set up is capable of doing that well.

Who employs / sacks the manager mate

Donald Duck?
I've already given an explanation for this in the match thread.

Levy makes a decision that he thinks is the right one with the best interests of the club. I as I'm sure you know by now believe this is absolutely the wrong decision. I think Jose is a) a has been b) completly disagree with the decision to appoint a manager that deviates away from the style of football we played under Poch. So for me personally he could have appointed many other managers that could have continued on the path that we were already on, e.g look at what Leipzig did when replacing Ralph H with Naglesmann it was a like for like manager based on a coaching style of play.

I can't remember your take on appointing Jose but there were/are scores of fans that thought this was one of the greatest management appointments in our history. If you were one of those (sorry if you weren't) then what does that make of you now (or others that did) calling him out as a cunt for appointing him?

With all that said, Levy is there to make the decisions, he made one. And even though I disagree with it, thousands didn't and thought it was a brilliant call.

What do you want me to do because I think he's made a wrong decision? Throw eggs at his Range Rover from behind his gates to his house? It's a football decision that half the fanbase agreed with, many still think Jose's the man. Shall I be throwing eggs at them too for having such an opinion? What's the point?

You, on the other hand, will type on your keyboard all day long even if you think the colour scheme of the tiles in the stadium toilets doesn't look nice.

Not having a striker is a catch all for larger problems across the board at this point.

This is precisely how I feel. I still think we have a team capable of producing performances and results without the big 2.

This is how he plays mate. This is our lot. This is the Jose brand of football.

I will delay any verdict on Mourinho until next season, he needs to get rid of deadwood in the team and bring in his own players to fill the holes and play his ideal football, only 3 months since he took over, it's just too early to tell.

Since the core of this team 'DESK'(Dele Eriksson Son Kane) has been desolved, he needs to make a new one, to do that, he needs transfer market.

It's the manager who makes tactics, but tactics won't work if you lack players to carry out.

Also worth saying, there’s a lot of talk about us losing our 2 first choice strikers. Let’s be clear, Jose favoured Moura over Son as a 9 presumably on the sole basis he is better in the air.

Worth remembering that.

Sort of but in the Villa game it was Son down the middle. Also today Bergwijn started centrally with Lucas wide. He‘s tried a few different things up front but only Son really worked as a striker. Lucas just isn’t good enough to worry defenders when he has the ball.

This is very interesting. Jose has always had some form of battering ram up top; Drogba, Pandev, Benzema, Costa, Zlat, Lukaku.

I guess what he is conceding here is that his tactics are and will always be reliant on that outlet. That’s disaster for us for the rest of the season. He has to either come up with an alternative way of playing, or potentially do a Big Sam with Chris Samba and whack a CB up there.

You’d hope being one of the most well paid and successful managers in modern history it would be the former.

Yeah he conceded Son was a better striker eventually. Took too long for my liking though.

We need to adapt the way we play.

It‘s not so easy. He came up with something that used Son up front and now he has to come up with something else with almost no time. Son’s season ended on Tuesday and we had a game on Wednesday and Saturday. There has barely been any time on the training pitch.

Let us pray that the clear week before Wolves helps us come up with a plan. This business of Lucas and Bergwijn down the middle doesn’t work, Lucas can’t use the ball and Bergwijn ends up knackered. We are going to have to use Dele or Lo Celso as a false 9 I think.

Whilst I’d say that’s fair you need precisely zero time to know long ball to Moura is unlikely to be effective.

I don’t see GLC as a false 9 personally, I’d say Dele or Parrott there for me.

I still don't understand (given I'm think as fuck) how you can play 94 mins with a broken arm pre treatment then be out for months once medical assistant has been rendered. Only to Spurs

It's why he "wishes it's July"!!

It's why all he's done is bemoan injuries to three players being out THREE!

Funny thing is, he blamed the style of football we were playing was down to having Davies injured in his first game "If you want to know what I wanted to do, look to my first game against West Ham," said Mourinho. "That's the way I thought I was going to develop the team.

"Defend with a back four, attack with a back three. That was the first day of unlucky, goodbye Ben Davies."

I know the problem but don't know how to solve it is a bad answer.
