Manager Jose Mourinho

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I don't put it down to luck, it's a massive concern that anyone thought he was still relevant given the obvious downward trend he's been on and the shitty football he played. I simply can't excuse the rationale behind the appointment one bit.

Got to question the footballing knowledge of the people in charge when they're appointing Mourinho at that time - hopefully when we come out of this it'll teach Levy a harsh lesson about what he does and doesn't know

Its is and was utterly illogical. He has been finished at this level for quite some time only Levy and frankly some dumbfoundingly gullible people did not see this. There are still people talking about our players weakness how they are shit whilst West ham with a fraction of the talent we have sit in a champions league place. It's bizarre.

We had a United fan come on here and warn us about him and some of the forum cunted him off when he warned us and drove him out.

Then we had the Mourinho fan boys turn up trash the players and club and nothing. Bit disappointed with this forum on that to be honest, let ourselves down.
Nothing wrong in thinking and hoping that it would be different for us. Jose had a year out and was making the right noises, switching on the charm offensive. Most of us was hoping for a trophy or two before it all went toxic.
Can't wait for him to be gone.

The one lesson he should learn is that we should only hire attacking managers. Our successes have been Jol, Redknapp and Poch compared to the likes of AVB, Jose, Santini and Graham. As a club and a fan base defensive managers don’t work with Spurs.

And when he has a good manager he should back him. Crazy that we backed Jose so well and didn’t with Poch or Redknapp.

It really sticks in the craw because of how much Poch changed the Club. I get the option of him being sacked (I don't necessarily agree with it, not without the real facts) but he showed what can be achieved both on and off the pitch, why oh why didn't we just get in another guy that could build on his work?

The Chavs have been trying to move away from the dull football that they played under Mourinho for years, it was one of the reasons why they fired him 1st time around and brought in AVB (looool), but it's why they hired Sarri and then Lampard and now Tuchel. Tuchel's job is made all the easier because of both Sarri and Lampard, both of these managers started to work with the team in attempting to have them play more progressively.

I do worry what the team looks like when Jose fucks off, is he going to be given another window to buy more 28yr olds? Will he have coached all the technical ability out of our players required to keep the ball and pass it between each other? How long will it take to rectify and rebalance?

I've said this so many times. Our club has a DNA . Trace it back from Lowe to Blanchflower, White, Perryman, Ardiles Hoddel, Waddle , to Gazz and Bale. Our best players thrive under coaches who get what we are. Id take Naggelsmann Potter or any progressive coach in this mold. Front foot, pass and move possession based. This is who we are. Oh and we don't do false nines we LOVE a goal scoring center forward.

I honestly think that Poch would have been backed (assuming whatever was really going on behind the scenes was workable between them). Since moving into Wembley we've been steadily increasing our wage bill to keep the bigger players. This continued when we moved into the new stadium and we also spent big on the players too and paid the wages to them that other big clubs would have paid had they gone there.

The one thing we never would have done is jump the gun in spending without the money coming in (generated by the stadium).

When Pochettino was sacked I was sad knowing he wasnt properly backed by levy. I was aghast when that boring poisonous arsehole Mourinho got the job. I knew it wouldn't work, I knew he would waste players by calling them out when it was all down to his useless negative tactics. We all saw how Luke shaw at utd was treated now look at him, away from Mourinho and his bullshit. Unfortunately we have a chairman who thinks Mourinho is the best around and it will end with decent players leaving the club if hes here much longer. I would rather have gone through a painful rebuild under Poch playing football the right way than gone through this turgid shit.

Although WH escaped relegation last season and Moyes survived? Perhaps the same will happen if we stick with Jose?

I don’t personally think we should, my mind’s still not (quite) made up, but we can’t use the example of Moyes / Potter / Negelsmann / Hassenhutl etc without the full picture. Probably Rodgers has been the most consistent in and around where we are as a club - the rest are a punt; likewise, Moyes has generally been quietly adequate but nothing to write home about: WH’s form has surprised everyone (as has ours, sadly).
