Manager Jose Mourinho

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Mourinho with Mbappe, Bellingham, Vinicius etc. A car crash just waiting to happen.

:mourbye:

They need rid of Vini .. he’s a brilliant player but him and Mbappe prefer the same role and they both have mega egos. They could easily fetch 120m for him from a United and invest in a proper centre forward. Fools to not go for Kane when he was available.

Think Jose would try to offload him, bring in his Drogba type striker and then they also want a 6. Can’t see him thinking much of Trent at all.

The problem with Vini is no one wants him apparently. I read a story that his agent has been asking around and the elite teams don't want to put up with his shit

He’s very very good so it’s a surprise. You just make him the star, which he would be at almost any other club. I guess Barca are off the table, he doesn’t really suit Kompany or Pep’s philosophies either, and PSG have moved past that kind of transfer.

Which doesn’t really leave many teams. You could 100% see United going for it a while back - not sure now.

Weirdly, Madrid makes more sense for Jose than most other clubs would.

A job where it's not really about tactics but rather about ego-management, building a siege mentality and not being eaten alive by the size of the job and club itself.

They obviously never should've sacked Alonso. Backing Vinicius over him is a mistake that will haunt them for years and signals any talented up-coming "project" manager is doomed to fail there. But if they're going to go the opposite direction and get an old school proven 'big club' manager, there really aren't many of those guys left.

Don't think he'll do too well there, mind, but putting Jose in a mid-sized club is an expensive recipe for failure these days. He might at least win a cup or something at Madrid.
