Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Lid is off with this guy. Has got better with every game. He and Gray have made an excellent partnership which is pretty astonishing really.

Great signing . Exactly what we needed.

If only we'd signed a striker with his impact we'd probably still be in the Fa cup and probably won tonight.
Given how Kolo Muani has started like a train for Juve, if we’d have got him, we certainly would have had a better chance in both cup games.

Pretty impressive so far. It can’t be a coincidence that we haven’t conceding many since he’s come in. I can’t see why Romero and Van De Ven walk straight back in.

This signing makes the Dragusin signing seem bizarre…

Sadly it does tbh.

Dragusin doesnt fit what Ange wants so to want him as bad as we did last January was odd whereas you can clearly see why they wanted Danso. Draguin imo is a goof defender who would do well in a non suicidal tactic.

All I think it says is that Dragusin was the best available CB last January transfer window, simply because very few players change clubs then versus Summer.

He's not a bad defender - just doesn't excel with some skills Spurs want such as passing from the back.

On the other hand, Danso ticks pretty much all of the boxes Spurs want of a CB, and remarkably was available in January, but that probably says more about his previous club (Lens) finances than anything else : put simply they needed the money and Juventus had let them down by failing to complete Danso's purchase previously and Spurs offer would have been seen as ideal. Availability is everything especially in January

Kevin Danso determined to ace Tottenham challenges

Danso has looked at home in the Premier League straight away, which is perhaps down to the fact that he has played in the English topflight previously during his loan spell at Southampton back in 2019-20.

The centre-back has now admitted that he has faced some difficulties in readapting to English football, but he insisted that he is relishing the challenge of coming up against top strikers on a regular basis.

Danso told The Standard: “I try to get my body in the way of everything. That’s my identity as a centre-half, just try to make blocks, to stop the opposition coming through.

“Of course, in a physical league like the Premier League you’re always going to get some knocks and bumps, it’s all part of the game. I’ve enjoyed it. It’s been difficult but I’m a person who likes a challenge.

“That’s exactly what the Premier League is, it’s a challenge for everybody. You come up against top strikers, every team you play against have top players.

“I’m loving it and hopefully we’re going to keep results like we have done the three previous games and keep pushing as far up the table as possible.”

Danso admits Spurs teammates have made things easier

The Spurs newcomer credited his teammates and the coaching staff for making it easier for him to ease into life in N17.

The defender remarked that he is proud to be playing for a club with such a rich history and added that he is determined to contribute to Tottenham’s success.

When asked how he has found life at Spurs so far, Danso responded: “It’s been amazing. That’s football. Through my career, I’ve gathered some experience now. It’s been difficult but easy at the same time because everyone around the club has made it easy for me to settle in, the coaching staff, the players.

“I’m honoured to be part of this massive club. The results could be a bit better, everyone knows that, but you can see our quality with the players coming back. I just hope we can push on and get more victories.”

I like him.

Great Job Reaction GIF

Better physicality and defensive instincts than Dragusin.

I like Dragusin's aggressiveness, but he doesn't "read the game" all that well, and he struggles in a 2CB set-up.

Definitely. We obviously are doing something wrong to keep getting these injuries whether it’s in training or recovery. It just isn’t normal at this point.

I still think a major part of it is the style of play x the number of fixtures

We've played 44 this season - as a comparison, Bournemouth have played 32

It's why I'm really not convinced on Iraola as a management option for us
