Ex-Spurs Player Kyle Walker-Peters

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Him and Sessegnon as attacking wing backs would certainly be an exciting future. Ease the defensive responsibilities of both of them by fielding players who can cover for them when they do attack.

Was he officially given the MOTM today?
The thing is, and for me this is VERY important, despite his obvious attacking ability and threat, he was in place, positionally sound in defence today. This is what Rose and Walker offer, the ability to defend whilst attacking. Tripps is out of the game when he goes over the halfway line, get the ball behind this and good teams will pull us apart.

One thing that does need sorting out is the hyphenated surname malarky. If he married Cameron Carter Vickers' sister would they call their child Jane/John Walker Peters Carter Vickers. Pick one surname, either Walkers or Peters, and stick with it. Peters would be better to avoid confusion.

Based on what probably allows us to keep the same style when resting one of them. We would keep Aurier.

Considering he cost us £20,000,000+ and didn't get a pre-season under his belt as well a real proper run in the team, it'd be worth keeping him too.

Generally I would agree with that - but I think I am correct in saying that Aurier's given away 3 penalties this season and a few free kicks from generally reckless play (brainfarts as we call them in the trade), which worries me.

It could be that he's just not got up to speed from playing for PSG where he's playing for a good club against much poorer opponents generally in the French league where he has more time to think - but I think Poch has a lot to do with him in pre-season as although he had next to no pre-season I would have expected to see him adjusting to the faster PL and I don't think he has improved that much.

Assuming we do keep Aurier and sell Trippier, on current evidence Walker-Peters might become first choice RB by autumn next season - a bit like Harry starting as 3rd choice striker behind the much more experienced and expensive Adebayor and Soldado, before overtaking them in about November....

Scare off the opposition though seeing a player 'Walker-Peters-Carter-Vickers' - probably think we had too many players on the pitch !

Nice to see the boy played in his proper position today. Looked good going forward, some decent runs and crosses and positionally was pretty sound. Thought he overplayed the ball on a few occasions, turning back on himself, and got himself into trouble. Needs to learn to keep it simple but he's got potential...

I’m happy with KWP’s contribution today. Hope we see more of him next season. Nothing quite like a home grown player cementing a 1st team place.
Didn’t do much wrong. Looked positive going forward. A few creases to iron out but that’s what good coaching does...

The first 10 minutes were his worst but he was also pressed to absolute hell by Gray and Vardy. Once he got his "sea legs" he looked much better
