Shame for you that you won't be there
Still gutted and a bit shocked at the lengths people are going to, to justify this sale , I'd love to go to a parallel universe where Kyle came out early and pledged his future to Spurs and see how many would say Trippier is first choice, also can't understand people delighted with the fee when we'd be looking at least 25 mil for a vastly inferior player like Adam Smith and upwards of 35 for someone decent like Soares , Siggurdsson , Pickford etc going for ridiculous fees , 50 million is Walkers true market value in this crazy window and City should have been heavily taxed on top but weren't.
I understand you can't really keep a player if he really wants to go but it's absolutely galling to me he's been sold at market value to a rival , many are trying to convince themselves otherwise but City come out of this deal far better than we do , we have lost a player key to our style of play and they have gained the best right back in the league over the past two seasons all for a reasonable fee.

£50m in the bank and we already have a ready made replacement for Walker in Trippier and another exciting young prospect in Walker-Peters.... now im excited about seeing KWP play and get more game time.

It is the sale to a rival part that is the big down side.
City were up shit creek on their right side after they unloaded Zabaleta, Sagna and Navas at the same time then Alves said no.
By blocking the sale we could have forced them to promote a youth player, take a punt on an untried player from abroad or settle for someone average.

Woken up with a bit of a lump in my throat, I won't lie.
Over the last few years, Walker has been one of my favourite Spurs players - will sound mad to some due to his defensive brain farts and general inability to provide end product etc. but he's always played for the shirt, and passionately celebrated every goal like one of us.
He is genuinely exciting to watch when he's on it and as much as I rate trippier, I really think we'll miss Walker's pace at Wembley if we do not to sign a replacement.
At the end of the day, we're losing one of our home grown players and England's #1 right-back to a direct rival; which I think is what's galling me the most.
No player is bigger than the club though, and if he's not in Pochettinos plans then I won't hold any grudge against him for leaving - £50m is a fantastic sum of money, I just hope it get's reinvested in area's where the manager feels it's most needed.

If a half decent replacement is found for £20m odd and the other £30m can be spent on tying Toby down for another 4 years then i'll be happy.
He had to endure the wheels coming off with 'arry, the turbulent times of AVB and Sherwood. For any player hoping to make it to the top that must have been a worrying turn of events. Personally i've only felt stability these last two seasons. A player must think WTF is going on at this place.
Every other club seems to be able to drop 20 million on a player and put a better contracts on the table without selling their best players.
I know we've been here before but £50m could bring in three decent prospects that add depth to the squad without leap frogging anyone. Hopefully Poch will get this cash to splash on what he wants.
Walker was rapid and this paced covered some dodgy positioning at times and gave others a chance to get back, I was always disappointed by his final ball but most players have a weakness to their game.
For me he was the only player left from the Lennon, Benny partying era. I'm not going to slaughter him on here, we made good money out of him and I would have been happy if he stayed but there are other players in the squad I would be more concerned about losing.
The club will know the fans are hurting, hopefully there are some things in the pipeline to ease the pain for some...
