The stadium being used for the Euro's and any generic country playing their national anthem, which is basically mandatory is absolutely irrelevant.

I appreciate you actually answering my question. For what it’s worth, I agree that the anthem thing is no issue, was just looking to garner opinions on where lines are drawn.

Yes, a Gooner came in and acted the cunt. Wouldn’t expect anything less. Then he got battered. Wouldn’t expect anything less.

But I do think if this is the kind of thing that vexes people, they should give their heads a shake and actually concentrate on the stuff that’s important. This really shouldn’t be.

This feels like rose-tinted glasses to me - the atmosphere was great in that last season, especially,y but it was just as shite as it is now when we were average or not doing as well as expected.

You think if we were having the season we were now back in old whl the atmosphere would be good? and you think if we were having the season we did during our last season at old whl the atmosphere would be shite now?

It's equal, when we played Ars under Conte and smashed them 3-0, it was the same as when we beat Inter 3-1.

Doesn't come down to stadium, it comes down to fan connection and general vibe about the club...it just so happens we've been pretty shit since the stadium has been opened and the majority of time the ambience has been poor as a result.

I was at our 1-0 home win Vs Hull under AVB when he blamed us for the performance being so bad.
No way Andre, the atmosphere was dead because the football was.
Having something to play for and a good chance of getting something is what gets the atmosphere rocking.
Beating Woolwich 3-0 under Conte was the loudest I've ever heard either stadium.
Pretty much every home game this season though has been the quietest either has been. Nobody cares anymore.
All I can ever hear is the one guy about 10 rows back who screams Levy abuse in a high pitched voice like Joe Swash or the little one from Horrible bosses.

Another epic one was when we beat Chelsea 2-0 in 16/17
Chelsea had won 13 games in a row coming to WHL and were top. We went into the match 4th having only lost 2, Man U and Chelsea away.
The atmosphere was immense. That whole season was though.
The season before, when we didn't win in our first 4 games, we had a 2-2 vs Stoke and that was pretty "meh"

Heck, I went to the away end at Upton Park for that 3-4 win, which was mental then went back the next season and it was a boring 1-1. There was absolutely no atmosphere at all by then. So even the away fans are driven by both performances and stakes.

They've been trying for a long time. As I stated in a separate post, selling a minority stake in a football club is a difficult proposition. Not many people invest tens or hundreds of millions in a football club if they're not going to get to make any decisions. A minority stake in a football club is just a very expensive ST.
