I still think Levy is a good 'business' Manager... That can't be denied...
But that's where his involvement in the club should begin and end...
He has NO business being ANYWHERE NEAR the football side of things, let alone 'running' it single handed!
Maybe he misread the memo, and thinks he's meant to be ruining our club, not running it!!!

remove the 'cinch' branding off the sleves and just sew this on instead

It's very strange, isn't it.
A handful of people, on a Spurs forum, with this desperate, unhealthy urge to defend and apologise for some multi millionaire businessman with a self confessed indifference to football who couldn't give an actual shit about them.

🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️

You do know it's perfectly possible to post about things that AREN'T about Enic in / Enic out, don't you.

Why don't you give it a try one day. You might like it.

I'm only suggesting it because I wouldn't, ya know, want you to get pidgeon holed by other posters as being a boring, enic out troll. That wouldn't be very nice for you!

Go explore the forum (or heaven forbid do something else entirely). You may find there's things out there to enjoy - nice conversations about Gwyneth Paltrow's fanny candle, for example.

This is such an emotional reaction for so many reasons.

You and I don't know what will happen in the next year, football changes quickly - as unlikely as it may look right now, you could be looking at a change of manager, DOF, infrastructure etc...you can't just bemoan the fact that things are shit now and that things won't ever improve and I sincerely hope that someone will have s plan for this club eventually, we might as well sit here and think about our pending relegation whilst we're at it.

Either way in your scenario they still need to be replaced, so what's better to have money to replace them or to not have money to replace them.

You're only reacting in the moment because we are in shit's creek right now but you'd rather be £120m richer having to replace 50 goals a season than not.

I will never be comfortable spending big money until we have a proper football operation with competent people making decisions. Every time Levy has tried to replace a key player in the last 10 years, he has signed someone much worse often at great expense.

Bale > Lamela
Dembele > Ndombele
Eriksen > Lo Celso
Rose > Sessegnon
Trippier > Emerson/Aurier
Vertonghen > Rodon (looooooooool)

The only thing that has kept us going is the consistent genius of Kane and Son. Who together cost less than Aurier. That is a football miracle. The chances of Levy successfully replacing Kane and Son with two new players are very, very low. The structure we have now with no manager and a banned, criminal DoF put all the football decisions on him and the man simply isn’t capable of making those decisions. This is the man who turned down Bruno Fernandes so he could sign Lo Celso and Jack Clarke for the same fee.

With the total collapse of our football structure this is the absolute worst time to sell players like Kane and Son. You are putting the sporting future of the team solely in the hands of a man who thought Nuno could bring us attacking Tottenham football.

Cashing in time is done anyway. Son's so out of form now we'd get barely anything. Kane's contract has ticked down to the point where MAYBE we'd get 70-80m for him but thats not a huge chunk of change in 2023.

And that 70/80m is if we want to sell to a big English rival. The likes of Bayern (if kane would even go there) would pay 40-50.
But if we could use that to get another Richarlison level player in, then with those 2 combined we'd only need to find another ~25 league goals to adequately replace Kane!

He has to sell now. The club is in decline, and knowing how Levy operates, he would want to get as much money as possible from the sale before the decline in value really kicks in. It seems from the latest reports that even Levy is getting tired of the club and has finally accepted that he's made a mess out of it.

I said they have been part of the problem, both as most important senior players lack character.

Lloris
Dier
Sanchez
Davies
Hojbjerg
Lucas
Son
Kane

These are our senior players, could you imagine that group players dragging a team over the line to win them a major trophy?!

Getting rid of them all could be a great start.
Lloris was captain of France when they won the WC?? I think he was.

Thanks for the advice fella. But I'll post where I want, and when I want.

Fair enough?

So if you're bemoaning our football structure now what makes you think we will have things all sorted when they leave on a free next Summer?

This is why your argument doesn't make sense because in your scenario you want us to cut our nose off to spite our face, at some point this team will need to be rebuilt regardless and you'd rather it be rebuilt where we are £120m richer than not.

I think your arguments are pretty selective as well tbh.

In the interest of equality you also need to be told where to post.

I have an inkling that we all need to know your advice on TV HELP

Nothing makes me think things will be sorted next summer. Our chairman does not know how to run a football club. To me we are simply more likely to win matches with the two strikers we have now than with whatever donkeys Levy will get conned into buying.

My arguments are selective? Maybe you can point me to some examples of Levy successfully replacing any of the first XI from the Poch era team. It’s easy to forget, but Levy has never really had to rebuild a consistent top 4 team before. Replacing players like Zokora and Kanoute is not hard. Replacing world class players is much harder. We are talking about a man who replaced Van Der Vaart with Gylfi Sigurdsson.

Bollocks , what a trolling cunt .

You defend Enic's record not the club .

Before they took over we were still the 4th most successful club in silverware even after another prime wanker Sugar .

Stick that up your duckbum bidet
And which clubs have overtaken us since then ?

Man City and Chelsea.

Every other club ahead of us was already ahead of us.

Jesus and his apostles wouldn’t have saved us.

Lets face it we need to start from scratch again, a complete reset. But is that possible with Levy at the top? History would say no.
We all thought that with the arrival of Conte, Levy would change, that he would understand how his successful new manager's player acquisition worked, that he had to bring in the players that Conte wanted and nobody else but those players. It looked for a while that he had adapted, some early signings crossed the line last summer and we all thought OMG Levy has changed, no more last minute deals for players that nobody else wants, kids or players that had to be googled.
However it wasn't to last. The first inkling that something was badly wrong when no top CB's joined the squad. Next when a youngster was signed instead of a proper RWB. We could all see that once again Levy was meddling in footballing matters. Cracks between him and Conte appeared. As an afterthought a CB finally arrived, on loan from a club that didn't want him due to poor form. Then a massive brain-fart for a back-up striker that finds it hard to score goals in the PL. Though the jury is still out on him TBF, but a Toney he certainly isn't.
Conte's implosion points to the likelihood that he got very little of what he wanted.
So where do we go from here? Please not more of the same. More rinses and repeat and dog day afternoons of Levy meddling. Now Levy has dug an even deeper hole for himself, one that is deeper than his step ladder this time I think. He's been digging like mad ever since his blatant snub of the wonderful Pochettino. A manager the like of which he will never find again. Levy's name is now dirt in the footballing world, our club a joke. Who in their right mind is going to want to suffer Levy's smothering control?
Now it transpires he's employed a criminal DoF, wow what judgement of character Levy possesses!
Levy had a once in a lifetime opportunity with Pochettino, he buried his head in the sand and counted beans instead of backing him. The rise and fall of THFC. The rise and fall of Daniel Levy.
