The fact of the matter is, we went into the season with a poor squad.

Vicaro was exposed last season as weak and hesitant.

Dragusin and Davies are not at the level required to be backup centre backs, especially given Romero and VDVs injury history.

Spence and Reguillon both known to not be good enough as full back cover. Spence has improved somewhat, but going into the season, we knew he wasn't at the level required.

In midfield, we have away an experienced Holjberg and put in an 18 year old with zero experience at this level. We knew Bentencaur was coming off a very bad knee injury and Bissouma wasn't good enough.

We knew how poor Werner is.

Solanke is not an elite striker. Richarlison perma injured. Remains to be seen if Odobert has any quality.

You can sack as many coaches as you like, but every single one of them leaves with the same comment - I wasn't given the players I needed to succeed.

We were asking earlier why Red Scum/Chavs are able to spend so much more on wages than us … Is this a big part of the answer?

90M of the money we give to the club for our season tickets and shirts are being spent on real estate development projects? To build out ENIC’s real estate portfolio?!?

What a f’in joke.
It is a question the few remaining Levy supporters constantly refuse to address.
If we, as a club, are spending a lower proportion of our turnover on player salaries than not just every other club in the Premier League, but also every club across Europe......Where is that proportion of of income actually going 🤷‍♂️

Even Leeds Uniteds owners are worth 7 billion and Elland Road is to be expanded to 56,000 shortly. Newcastle has a 70,000 seater stadium on the way, Man Utd 100,000. Not to mention Everton going up to 54,000.

Every year our competitive advantage is being eroded as Levy and Co run out of cash. This club has grown to big for them and they have taken it as far as they can.
And I’m led to understand our 63,000 stadium isn’t upgradable by capacity. Terrible planning by baldy.

I haven't heard any of our ex-managers say that. Not that it isn't true but have any of them actually come out and said it?

Poch did

And Jose

It’s difficult for a manager to say this really as he has to keep players he has happy & he probably wants to keep his job .

I doubt Harry has ecstatic about Nelsen or Campbell too but if what you’re offered is the only option to freshen up the squad , you’ll probably take it.

Yes. AVB said he didn't get any of his transfer targets - specifically Moutinho who he wanted to build the squad around, yet the club only regarded him as 6th on the list of targets.

Conte said the club was weakened after the 2022 transfer window leading to a request for him to avoid Italian media interviews, as he hinted at insufficient squad investment.

Poch “When you talk about Tottenham, everyone says you have an amazing house but you need to put in the furniture. If you want to have a lovely house maybe you need better furniture, and it depends on your budget if you are going to spend money"

Mourinho
“My defenders are simply not good enough.”
Context: Mourinho argued that players like Toby Alderweireld, Eric Dier, and Davinson Sanchez underperformed, despite their previous quality under Pochettino, and blamed the club’s failure to sign his preferred targets like Ruben Dias.

We used to have one of the richest owners in the league, but now we are bottom half. Loads of clubs have mega rich owners and we need a cash injection to keep up. A full sale would be ideal at this point.

Premier league is a global status symbol like owning a Bugatti, every rich billionaire with an ego wants one. It’s why the ‘sustainable’ model is completely useless, we will never sustainably generate what is needed to compete and even if we did Levy would spend it on magic beans. Club needs investment which it hasn’t really had since before Sugar. Nearly 40 years of ‘sustainability’.

But none of that is any of the managers stating the comment that you said.

'', but every single one of them leaves with the same comment - I wasn't given the players I needed to succeed.''

Have you got a quote of them actually saying that comment?

It’s picking at straws really , quite a few have moaned about our transfer policies , every fan knows that the majority of managers have left frustrated , you could argue that some of that is deflection on the managers behalf but the fact that it’s one of the few constants this club has suggests that the planning is pretty crap.

Yes I know managers have been unsatisfied with transfers in the past but there was a specific comment alleged which appears to be falsely attributed.

My understanding of that in depth look at our finances is that we do spend on transfers but get very little on selling. We are 7th on spending on wages which hinders us against those spending more but does not explain our present league position. We all know about Levy’s massive salary but even knock a million off and it would make little difference. We have spent a lot on recent transfers but are not getting the right return on that investment.
Whilst we have lots of scope in PSR the money is not there. Other clubs owners put more money in and whilst ENIC have put in some over the past few years it is not comparable to what other clubs have received.
I doubt ENIC have the money to put in even if they wanted to. ENIC have had their chance to make us successful but we are still trophyless. Building the new stadium was the right thing to do as without it our income would be much lower and uncompetitive. However now is the time to allow someone else who does have the money to put in the club to take over.
Will it happen? Despite criticism to the contrary Levy is a Spurs supporter going to the matches regularly and despite the wealth a sale would bring would need a lot of persuading to quit. A bit like many long term season ticket holders despite being fed up finding it difficult to give up their ticket. Then we need to find an organisation wealthy enough to not only buy the club but inject funds. It is the latter that would be the game changer.

I do hope Daniel and the fragrant Joe Lewis will be richer at the end of today than they were when they got up this morning. They deserve it and I am disappointed the team have been so poor, not because I want a trophy but it has prevented these fine gentleman from increasing our massively under priced season tickets.
I wish they had increased prices regardless of on field performance as I would happily pay more to make sure the new hotel has Jo Malone toiletries. My worry is that due to the generosity of Daniel and Mr Lewis the hand cream will not be of the standard that will attract the right clientele to the tourist hotspot that is the Tottenham High Road

So Daniel if you or one of your sycophantic employees are reading this , I speak for all fans when I say we would happily pay 10% more as a minimum hike in ticket prices .

Football performance leading to success is not the most important thing , it is a feeling of extreme joy that will fade within a few years . However our property portfolio will give the next 4 generations of the Vanderlays a feeling of nausea that no other club can deliver , irrespective of how many insignificant titles and cups they win .

Everton have just added new minority owners worth 4bn on top of Friedkein being worth 7.5bn

100pc. Spurs is Levy's vanity project. If he had the best interests of the club and fans at heart he would sell up to a middle eastern state and let us compete.

Wouldn’t even have to be a Middle Eastern state, just a share issue to inject £300-400m in would do most of the trick. Only United in this league have had less investment from their owner because the Glazers threw debt on the club.
