He shut you up with that goal today. We are a team that lacks goals and creativity and he is an attacking player that provides none of that.
I guess we can point to being close to top 4 15 games into the season and pretend everything is great like people did last season when we were top of the table early on with clear warning signs.
If you really think that an attacking player with 3, 4 and now 1 goal in the PL the past 3 seasons and offers nothing else in terms of how he plays is good enough I guess you are fine with Spurs being mediocre.
Works so hard for the team. Some matches, it doesn’t come off, and his running and flicks look pointless… but that’s risk taking and attacking. If all our forwards showed similar intent then we’d be a handful to anyone.
Why couldn’t he be a starter for a top 4 team if the goals/finishing improves? I think he’s going to improve drastically under Conte. 10-12 PL goals a season should be possible with his talentHe would be a fantastic squad player for a top 4/title contender in the EPL.
He's a fantastic starter for a top 6 contender.
That's the difference.
Great goal. We need more of that. He is great as a super sub and starter for early cup games and some Europe games. But we know enough about him at 29 to know he doesn't bring enough to the attack from the right side to justify being a starter if we're being true to our ambitions.
Nothing wrong with being an excellent supersub. In the NBA they have sixth man of the year awards. That's what Moura's role should be, a sixth man. Someone consistent to bring on in the 60th to terrorize tired legs, and to bring depth and rotation to a team competing on 4 fronts every season.
For one, I don't see that many goals. For two, the rest of his game lacks the intelligent on and off ball movement you need from a fluid right wing position. Why couldn’t he be a starter for a top 4 team if the goals/finishing improves? He did have that kind of output a couple seasons ago. Had 10 PL goals in his 1st full season with us.For one, I don't see that many goals. For two, the rest of his game lacks the intelligent on and off ball movement you need from a fluid right wing position.
Looking at the three true contenders in the EPL this season and they don't have a weak spot in their third. But Lucas would be a weak spot in those squads.
He was brilliant. His strike on the ball for the goal was exquisite. However his first touch was poor and he nearly ran down a blind alley. so he nearly lost the ball twice before the strike. That detracts from it quite a bit.
You nearly made a valid point there. His strike on the ball for the goal was exquisite. However his first touch was poor and he nearly ran down a blind alley. so he nearly lost the ball twice before the strike. That detracts from it quite a bit.
It was a good result but Norwich nearly scored goals & that ufo nearly crashed into the stadiumHis strike on the ball for the goal was exquisite. Same amount of hair as Manu Ginóbili as well. And he's arguably the greatest sixth man of all time.He would be a fantastic squad player for a top 4/title contender in the EPL.

Yeah, how dare he correct his position and score a worldie. His strike on the ball for the goal was exquisite. However his first touch was poor and he nearly ran down a blind alley. so he nearly lost the ball twice before the strike. That detracts from it quite a bit.

He's still a "useless slaphead" apparently.
