Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I'll mark this post and we will talk after the world cup. He has made it very clear he wants to stay in Germany and players have all the power because they can just withdraw their services until they get their wish. The only remote chance we have of keeping him is if we stay up and he believes the club are genuine about winning.

I don't doubt that he may prefer to stay in Germany. Coming to Spurs will likely result in limited game time and his career stalling. At 19 years old, he needs to be playing as much as possible - but also be playing for a club that allows him to make mistakes and learn.

If Spurs were relegated to the Championship, I actually think it more likely that he returns to Spurs and plays. A perfect chance for him to develop further and learn his craft - without the pressure of stepping up too soon.

I am happy to make the bet that if we are relegated he won’t be playing for us next season. He may well be loaned out indefinitely but he won’t set foot in the championship.
ah that's slightly different though. In particular the word "indefinitely". I bet he will be contracted to Tottenham next season, irrespective of which division we are in (i.e. here or on loan ... I actually think he'll be here, but there is a chance he does another loan I acknowledge). Bet on?

You seem to be hung up on his age being some sort of blocker to play for an elite team. Rooney signed for Man U when he was 18 off the back of 67 PL games for Everton. Mbappe played just 41 Ligue 1 games for Monaco when PSG dropped 180m euros on the table. He was also 18. And how about a defender. Leny Yoro (also 18) played just 46 Ligue 1 games for Lille when Man U decided to part with 62m euros + add on's. Vuskovic is already standing out as one of the best defenders in Europe - way better than Yoro. The World Cup will enhance his reputation further. He may stay with us if we are in the Premier League but I can categorically guarantee, he will not be playing Championship football next season. If Bayern or someone drops 80-85m. He's off. You have 25+ years of ENIC ownership to know this to be true.

I really hope he doesn't get a huge opinion of himself like our current two cbs. wouldn;t be surprised though after reading some of the articles about him calling him the next best defender in the world etc.

And Liverpool just dropped €70m on an 18 year old CB from Rennes, I believe.

Man of the Match: Luka Vušković

The young Croatian defender was the catalyst for Hamburg's comeback victory. Not only did Vušković convert the crucial equalising penalty with composure, but he also won both spot-kicks for his team through his intelligent movement in the box.

His defensive contribution was equally impressive, winning more challenges (19) than any other player on the pitch.

Vušković's overall performance made him the standout player in a match where fine margins proved decisive, and his 340 fantasy points were the highest of any player. The defender's positioning, aerial presence and calmness under pressure were all key factors in Hamburg's precious away win.
