You don't see fans of any other clubs do that, Conte really left some scars.

"[Bergwijn] Good player, good professional, good boy," Congratulations to my club, the way they did it.Initially – and I’m always very honest on this – he wasn’t my first option when we decided to make a movement in the winter. But in the end, a great decision. A player with a great future, can play on the right and the left."
:mourwhat:

The Athletic has been told, was based in part on statistical analysis that showed Clarke top of several metrics for his age group in Europe. Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is said by sources close to the move to have been suitably convinced and pushed for a player in whom Mauricio Pochettino had essentially zero interest. :pochcry:

I think "club signings" are a thing, Conte was just more salty about than he needed to be

gil, son, solomon, kulusevski... maybe porro, perisic and richarlison too, maddison has played out wide, lo celso.... screw the defense, let's have it!

Gil is the better of the two? You have no idea if thats true or not.
I'm just basing that on watching Spurs and Fulham play. Perhaps I'm too optimistic about Gill but I think he's the better passer and is a high energy player. Where Solomon seems better is in terms of having a good shot from distance. Of the two he would definitely score more goals. I like them both, but I think Gill is a better passer and will fit really well into a high press.

How on earth is Gil better?
How have so many fans convinced themselves that a guy, that has done absolutely nothing to justify a squad space, is anywhere near good enough?
He has to be one of the least promising players we've signed in recent memory. No one had heard of him when he signed. And since then, he's shown nothing. Nothing at all.
We'll find out soon enough. I still believe there's a good player there in Gil. Always has been good with the ball and has good pace. I'm not saying Solomon isn't good, just that I still have hope for Gil to make good.

The more and more I look back on his time with us the more disappointing it was. Just a fucking waste of time. I'm no fan of him but least Mourinho had a personality and could be amusing. Conte was just a whiny bitch.

I was admittedly gassed by the end of season 1; but as the chips have fallen, all my feelings towards him (derived from his time at the Chavs) before he came proved spot on.

We qualified for the CL, and we were in/around the top 3 the entire time Conte was at Spurs last season.
Hardly a waste of time. Had we persisted with him (and he with us) until the end of the season, there's no way we finish outside the top 6. We probably finish 4th or 5th at worst.

We'd be in a better place today if he'd stayed until the end and then been able to walk away and and say "job done"

Solomon is stronger on the ball,a stronger runner and is more of a goal threat. Gil is like an empty crisp packet. Too weak but you can see he has technical ability but will never be a big player for us.

Probably the wrong turn of phrase then. I was just so disappointed in him.

He gave up on us; not the other way around.

It’s a club signing.

Nobody has a fucking clue how he’ll get on here. But with our elite scouting and recruitment I know where my money would go if I had to bet on it…
:levylol:

Careful, Airfixx Airfixx will disagree with you!!

Oh, wait … silly me, something negative was suggested about the club so he was already there before you’d clicked post.
