Legend Martin Chivers Rest in Peace.

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Great memories of the early 70's team, that was when i & my mates started going on a regularly, can see the goal at wolves in 1972, such a great time for me as a young teenager
thank you and the other players from those days

Proper legend. I would absolutely love to have been around to see him play back then. RIP Martin.

He was deceptively quick too

I remember him running half the length of the pitch at Leeds one game and their defence and midfield couldn’t live with him

I think that Giles (or Bremner!) tried to pull him back but he just swatted him off and scored the winner (I think!) and we won 2-1 when Leeds were a seriously good side under Revie and we went top!

Bedlam outside as we had a lot of fans up there and I couldn’t get home in time to watch MOTD!

45 myself - just old enough to remember the entire 90’s and just young enough not to remember much of the 80’s success - the sweet spot age wise lol

Too young to remember watching him play, but i met him in the corporate lounge at a match (2006?) in which i won a token in some competition or other..he presented it to me. A gentleman and a scholar he was. And a terrific player.
RIP Martin.

I'm 68. Went many a time to Cheshunt to watch them training. Must have Chivs signature several times. It was always a good day out.
Though I never made Wolves away, his goals there were heroic.
Retired and ran a pub in Brookmans Park and then an ambassador for the club.
Legend is an often used word but this guy deserves it.
